Does anyone else think this film is great?
I watched this film last night and thought it was great. My grandad said it was great so i bought it and loved it. Jack Nicholson was brill as usual and mary steenburgen was fantastic.

shareA big fave of mine. The opening scene is a great hook. Sets the tone of the whole movie. I probably play it about once-a-year and it never fails to make me laugh. Classic jack. And is it me, or does it seem that every time I watch a movie, there's Tracy Walters. This dude's in everything.
shareThis is one of the funniest westerns with it's typical Nicholson dry humor I have seen. I saw it when it first came out almost thirty years ago, and I still love it.
My favorite line is when Jack says, "Ladies love outlaws like little boys love stray dogs". . .Now ain't that the truth. . .

We LOVE this film. It has become an kind of 'cult classic' within our family and we recommend it to all our friends. JN and MS are hilarious! Very delightful movie.
shareThis movie still holds up for me. I can watch it over and over and the comedy never seems dated. Christopher Lloyd is a riot with all his facial expressions. Jack gives good face too.
shareI think it was great. Can't be everything to everyone I guess, but I liked the heck out of it. Great chemistry between Jack and Mary, as another said, and enough droll moments to keep us amused. "Sure did enjoy them canned apricots..."
Hahaha.
And Jack lipping off all those old widows who came to look him over, until...
Great stuff.
"Viva Mehicoooo!!"
a great overlooked gem of the seventies.Funny and good humored, with a great cast .
I remember seeing this when I was a kid and one of the few movies that I loved as a kid that I still love it now. The relationship here is so cookey that it works. LOL
shareAre you kidding! This is undoubtedly one of the funniest movies I've ever seen, and I've seen lots of movies. I first saw this one when it came out in 1978. I told all my friends about it and had many of them to come. I noticed how I would see or hear funny stuff I missed the last time I saw it. The cast is deep in talent and has to many one liners that are so funny one would nearly bust a gut laughing. I've got the dialogue for the entire movie memorized and my family and I enjoy watching it at least a couple a times a year.
shareI saw it for the first time last night, and I thought it was brilliant too. One of the best Nicholson movies for sure!
