Most Annoying Walton

Has to be Mary Ellen by far, followed by Elizabeth.

I have been watching some eps recently and they seem to all have their turn at being annoying. Erin can be really immature. I saw one ep where John Boy is talking to his "Daddy" about politics and the Nazi's and you can see that his father just does not care but he sits there and listens patiently and then says in a condescending tone that he is proud of his son to have those views.

And then he quickly leaves to go chop some wood and be alone.

Haha, you really painted a picture there! I honestly laughed out loud.

Grandma sucks, man. With her sermonizing and judgment and always acting prickly when Zeb tries to show her love.

So often when Mary Ellen is on the screen and she starts in, I find myself interjecting loudly "SHUT UP. Just shut up!"

Don't get me started on Elizabeth. Little twerp.

Gran is a serious stick in the mud. Trying not to fun and sacrifice in the hopes of a heavenly pay off when she dies. I guess she would have been realistic for the times and region though.

Mary Ellen loses the sex kitten tag early on, she is kind of butch looking. Erin and even Elizabeth in later eps overshadow her. In the last seasons the show kind of goes Happy Days where dressing realistically for the period goes out the window and Erin starts looking like she might be auditioning for Charlie's Angels. https://thewaltons.fandom.com/wiki/Erin_Walton

Maybe we should study these creatures before we make our judgement.

Mary Ellen…sometimes. Funny, I loved her whole romance and marriage to Curt. But when I see the early episodes, I realize what a dreadful actress she was at first. She did improve.

Grandma….sometimes. She meant well, but she could be such a stick in the mud. I give Olivia a lot of credit for dealing with such a pushy mother-in-law. Esther stuck her nose in too much. Olivia really shot her down when she gave Mary Ellen a quilting party which the girl did not want.

Olivia told her to leave the raising of the children to HER!
