Has to be Mary Ellen by far, followed by Elizabeth.
shareben was pretty whiny
shareElizabeth
shareI had a crush on Erin
shareOh it's Jim Bob for sure. They gave him all these sad aww shucks storylines and he was always whining.
shareMost annoying character was Maude by far.
shareGrandma. A cynical, sour old stick in the mud. I wouldn't bother talking to her at all.
shareJohn Boy he has all these morals and ethics. He had the chance to work as a writer on a film but turns it down because of his friend. Noble and all but he forgets he is living on his "Daddy's" property dreaming about being a writer yet when he has the chance to make it happen he knocks it back.
And he is a grown man who calls his father "Daddy".
Mary Ellen falling for every new buck who comes onto the property would be second.
That's just southern lingo. Men and women call their father "Daddy" in the south and Texas regardless of how old they are. It is a term of endearment and respect.
You see it in literature, some films and TV. One example was middle-aged J.R. Ewing calling his father "Daddy" on the TV series Dallas.
