A very HOT Jane Fonda

I knew Jane Fonda was "rather" attractive in her day, but having only just seen this film for the first time, I was blown away by how unbelievably sexy she was in this role.

Just a thought

Jane Fonda was drop dead gorgeous and gave many a teen in the 1960s wet dreams. I honestly think she grew more attractive with age. Check her out in The Electric Horseman with Robert Redford. She was around 40 when she made that film and she was still a knockout.

unbelievably hot, curvy, juicy bottom in them tight jeans!

She was 28 when she made this movie and I think she was sexier here than even in Barbarella. Someone mentioned the scene where she was riding away on the horse. Very sexy!

I also recommend Jane in La Ronde also know as Circle of Love (1964), directed by Roger Vadim. I downloaded a copy today. She was very pretty, a year younger than in Cat Ballou. The version I got was French (original) with English subtitles.

When she was young, she was very hot. Would like to see some hi-res photos of her in her early 20's.

She was really hot. She's living proof that an attractive outside doesn't always match the inside. In her case, they couldn't be farther apart. She's a warped, evil person. She humped a Viet Cong anti-aircraft gun for the amusement of the VC and got off on taunting and insulting American prisoners who were being tortured. You can't get much lower than that.

"You can't get much lower than that."

Sure you can. You can be the kind of person who holds a grudge for over 40 years, even after she apologized, for something that was done by somebody who you have never met. That's pretty low.

That's quite a stretch but keep swinging. Maybe you'll come up with a better defense. She's a despicable person and she deserves to be criticized for what she did. Forever, in fact. Apology or no apology. She hasn't exactly been a beacon of rational thought at any point in subsequent years.

Agree with you and other similar posts totally. One can forgive but not forget her betrayal of our U.S. Service members ... tastless and unclassy to say the least. It can be difficult to enjoy a film with her in it, "hot" or not. Sort of like trying to see the better side's of John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, James Earl Ray and other such ilk. She could have chosen another way of protesting the war (many others did, which I agree was a terrible, tragic mistake. But please don't defend someone crapping on our troops like she did. They did not deserve that. Those of us old enough to remember will have the top photos of this link etched in our minds:

Sure you can get lower than that. Whoever allowed the use of Agent Orange on the same war. Or whoever allowed torture at the Gitmo. Or allowing the Gitmo to even exist.

Jane was naive and uninformed person but evil? No.

Sure you can! You can support the USA's support of unpopular regimes in South America (Pinochet in Chile etc), the Middle East (the Saudi family etc) and Asia (South Vietnam etc).

I think that politics should be left out of this completely. Whatever her ideology was back in those days is neither here nor there. As far as how cute she was then or is now, well she was and still is a stone cold fox. Now where she really screwed up was marrying Ted Turner.

reply

I never heard this expression before and am unsure if it is nasty or nice, I'm in the UK and curious.
If we call a woman a fox it is usually complimentary, like the old joke; What is the difference between a dog and a fox? Seven pints of beer!
But a stone cold fox sounds like an insult; good looking but unfeeling and cold.

I agree politics have no place on this board and have no idea who Ted Turner is; but I woud like to know about a stone cold fox. Is it an insult or a compliment?

reply

It's a compliment. Of course it doesn't make sense, though. It's just like when people say, "Awfully good, that meal was." It's like, what kind of compliment is that? It's so good that it was bad! lol Likewise, she's such a fox that she's stone cold. Nope, not a normal fox... she's such a fox that she's stone cold. I try not to take those expressions so seriously. I guess if somebody wanted to call me a stone cold fox, I wouldn't yell at them about it... I mean, as long as they say it with respect.

Interesting how Jane and politics are forever linked. Personally, I wish all of those Hollywood left-leaners (and the much fewer right-leaners as well) would keep their politics to themselves. Have you noticed that most people who bring up politics are obsessed with it, and are quite self-righteously obnoxious about how right they are? Someone should tell them that the true sign of dignity and class is to keep ones' political beliefs to themselves.
