12 angry (white) men and no women
Were there no women allowed in jury's in the '50s? And no blacks or other minorities?
That's like asking for a biased judicial system.

Taking the elements of race, gender and age out of the equation actually opens up the jury to more genuine issues. It'd be all too easy to simply lay the blame at bigotry and let it go at that.
shareBecause the movie is from 1957 you moron.
shareAn all-white, all-male jury was the norm in the '50s. As early as 1879, the Supreme Court ruled that the exclusion of blacks from jury selection was unconstitutional (though active and transparent discrimination still continued well into the '60s if not beyond), but the same SC ruling stated that women could be excluded. This wasn't formally reversed until 1979.
shareBecause USA were still a functioning country back then and not a shithole.
shareBingo
sharethere was at least 1 latino
shareHmmm 1957

Women were seldom allowed to sit on Juries until the mid 60s same with having a Bi-Racial jury
