Is Marilyn Monroe Beautiful??

Marilyn Monroe has been regarded as the (or among the) most beautiful women in the world that ever lived. Personally, I don't see why... other than she was a sex symbol helped her elevate herself into the dreams of men everywhere. Maybe it's down to our changing times. I, personally, thought that the other young blond actress was far more attractive than Monroe. I just don't understand what people saw in Monroe, but I guess that what one considers beauty changes with each generation.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but MM has no flaws from any direction. Best movie: River of No Return!

I usualy am inspired by the unusual BUT Marilyn Monroe IS the classic beauty, completely ethereal; to me she's like something out of a dream.

She is beautiful but what about Sharon Tate? At the time of her death she was considered the most beautiful woman in hollywood.

Ok, if Marilyn was young like she was in the 50's, a newcomer to Hollywood and looking the way she did, she would be a sex symbol all over again.
What a silly question indeed, of course she was!

If Marilyn were in Hollywood today she would bring back the sexuality of real women. Being stick thin would be a thing of the past ... looking like a boy would get you turned down for parts rather than landing you the role.

This is not to say that Marilyn was fat ... she was just built the way women are supposed to be built. She had a beautiful body.

Hollywood needs a Marilyn Monroe ... without a woman like her we have people like Paris Hilton (the equivilant of a young, blond Sharon Osbourne)as sex symbols.

I think she was really pretty in How to Marry a Millionaire. You should check that out. In this movie she looks okay.

What the *beep* kind of question is that?

Is Marilyn Monroe beautiful? Is the sky blue? Do humans need air to breathe? Would I die if I stuck this purple crayon in my eye?

Good God I lose faith in humanity more and more everyday.

I guess her beauty will live forever. It is just like the Venus de Milo, that famous ancient Greek statue, no matter how many generations have passed or will pass, its beauty will never fade.

Personally, I believe Marilyn Monroe is one of the most attractive women in human history. When I first saw her in "All About Eve", I didn't know she is Marilyn Monroe, I was just captivated immediately by her beauty, and when when the movie fininshed, the first thing I wanted to know is who acted that unimportant supporting role.

Though she was used as a sex symbol by movie industry, but I think she has her potentials for much deeper roles.

Marilyn is gorgeous in this film but you have to realize that she was sick of everyone constantly looking at her figure and not her talent. She said "So I've got a big ass and big breasts, Big Deal!" She covered herself in white powder for this film and refused to wear the glamorous outfits designed for her. Instead she and director, Joshua Logan went to the Fox archive and searched for the rattiest, most horrible outfits they could find; They even tore holes in the stockings! This film was intended to showcase her talent and not her beauty! [This info can be found in any MM biography.]

She always looked fine. But makeup made her look better in some roles, than others.

I LOVE HER... She's beautiful with & without makeup.... but
She DID NOT have big breasts.
She DID have full hips.

Interestingly, Jane Mansfield didn't have big breasts either.. Had couple average hangers... but knew how to pose and dress to exxagerate them.. Remember she had a genius IQ.

I'm guessing you didn't see her in "Some Like It Hot" (Where she looked the best in my opinion)
