Is Marilyn Monroe Beautiful??

Marilyn Monroe has been regarded as the (or among the) most beautiful women in the world that ever lived. Personally, I don't see why... other than she was a sex symbol helped her elevate herself into the dreams of men everywhere. Maybe it's down to our changing times. I, personally, thought that the other young blond actress was far more attractive than Monroe. I just don't understand what people saw in Monroe, but I guess that what one considers beauty changes with each generation.

Marilyn is my top pick, followed by Eva Mendes, and Pam Grier in my book. Yes, Marilyn was a sex symbol, but she was more to me. She wanted to do the best, but felt hindered, in my opinion. Maybe she believed her own hype, which led to many problems. Or it was a battle to get people to leave the hype on the screen, and look at the woman behind the legend.

She was very beautiful, and if the pressures of stardom had left her alone, she could have had the chance to be a more successful actress.

I think a lot of men are intimidated by women who look like women. They instead like the thin, little girl types.

Yes, she was, tho less traditionally here. Cherie was supposed to be a beat-up, perpetually exhausted "singer" in a sleazy joint. She looked it. FOX was horrified at the costumes she chose, the pale makeup, but MM stuck to her guns. And it was brave move. The last time audiences had seen MM was "The Seven Year Itch"--all peachy and golden. In "Bus Stop" she was no less appealing, but far more vulnerable and human.

In her next film, "The Prince and the Showgirl" she was "herself" again.
