No actors of deans caliber out today that are young. Maybe if Michael brando agreed to it yeah other then that it should be left alone. Its a true classic today's generation don't know what that means to do this justice

If this was to ever happen...

it would just be another sub-par remake of a classic that has plagued the cinema the last few years. I pray to god Hollywood goes back to originality.

Why does everyone always want to remake great movies?

Leave great movies alone to be enjoyed as they were. Force Hollywood to actually come up with quality movies that aren't remakes

Not during my lifetime, thank you.

<there is just something about it that seem pointless to me is all>

Not really pointless. In a nutshell, misfit/unhappy teens from dysfunctional families, finding commaraderie with each other that they don't get in their family relationships. Pretty common social commentary, and the 50's seemed to be into the rebellious teen theme. Also, to showcase Dean's "outcast" movie persona, and Wood's transfer from child star to more adult roles.

NO MORE REMAKES

Plus, you have no Natalie Wood...nothing close...

I think the only movies that need to be remade are the movies that werent considered classics .It's like the old saying goes if it aint broke dont fix it this is one of those movies where.Current generations could learn from we really don'tneed a remake of this .For the simply fact that today's current generation is aimless and don't stand for anything .

You cant change anything without causing some degree of disruption

There's absolutely no reason to remake this movie. Who could ever measure up to the legendary cast and director? Come on. It's an excellent movie, if people want to see the story, see this one. There's no reason to see other actors play it out.

(If they did though, when she's a little older, Kiernan Shipka for Judy....)
