Recommendations for GOOD time travel films!

Other than SOMEWHERE IN TIME, TIME AFTER TIME, and the BACK TO THE FUTURE series does anyone have any other favorite time travel films?
I would also add PORTRAIT OF JENNY, 12 MONKEYS, and THE TWO WORLDS OF JENNIE LOGAN.
I have a pretty good list of time travel books, with Jack Finney's being at the top, but time travel films seem harder to find.
Thanks!

I loved "Time and Again" by Jack Finney. Years ago I called him on the phone, he was listed in the phone book. Early 1990s. I didn't talk to him but I did talk to his wife and she said Universal owned the rights and it was once a project Robert Redford was interested in.

It's never been filmed that I know of.

You called Jack Finney? I think I'm going to die! He's my favorite fantasy author... who would have thought to look him up in the phone book!? But come to think of it, it sounds like a plot of one of his stories... simple and obvious!
Thanks for sharing this story.
I just bought the book "Stealing Through Time" which is on the writings of Finney... looks interesting.

"Time and Again" would make a wonderful movie IF they spent enough money on the sets, costumes, etc. Decent cast would be helpful too!

The Time Travelers Wife & Somewhere in Time (if it wasn't already mentioned)

someone already mentioned it, but it's worth repeating:

Los Cronocrimenes (a.k.a. Timecrimes)

After going through seven pages for this thread I am truly, madly and deeply AMAZED that nobody's brain flashed long enough to remember TIME TUNNEL,an excellent sci fi series for its time and quite innovatibg for the audience back then,I mean, wake up people, geez!

A great list here

I should add A Kid in King Arthur's Court as well which I watched the other month that was not a bad film.

And

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III

And I liked both though they have low ratings.

I have to agree, Timecrimes is probably the best out there. I doubt Hollywood would ever attempt it, the market for people that could keep up with it is pretty small.

Hollywood would miss the potential "self-consistent" red herrings as well.

By this I mean the fuzziness around loopdata we assume is identical but lack proof. I can only find two instances:

Amount of H2 Spook Attempts before triggering H1 after stabbing him (it might vary--we cannot confirm), and position of "lost" battery that H3 throws in the field to trigger H2.

The amount of spook attempts and the landing position of the "lost" battery are MICRO details that serve to fulfill the MACRO catalyst (Entering the Time-machine). We can assume they are identical and there is zero MICRO flux, but we cannot prove it. And that's a good thing, rewards repeat viewings.

Enjoy these words, for one day they'll be gone... All of them.

Just thought of 2 more time travel movies.

"It Happened Tomorrow" Dick Powell and Linda Darnell, 1944 about a guy who sees tomorrow's headlines today. This premise later was the idea behind a TV series, but the movie came first.

ALSO

"I'll Never Forget You", 1951 Tyrone Power and Anne Blyth. A scientist obsessed with the past transports himself back in time to 18th-century London, where he falls in love with a beautiful young woman. Based on a play with it's more "known" title "Berkeley Square". Hasn't been seen anywhere in years.

Look them up in IMDB

Coming soon to the small screen (HBO type series ) the Outlander Series (the 8th book coming out soon) is a great time-travel, historical fiction/adventure. Hope they do the books justice.

Time Trackers. It is totally corny, but I remember loving it when I was younger and watching it at least once a month.

I would only go if there was cake.
