Wizard of Oz Remake Director Says New Film Will Include LGBTQ Representation
So another woke fest that will flop.
shareSo another woke fest that will flop.
shareIt is already LGBTQ.
The Lion is gay.
Tin Man is non binary.
Miss Gulch is a drag queen.
The WWW is lesbian obsessedly chasing Dorothy.
Ha! Like the original Wizard of Oz wasn’t the gayest thing ever, right?
Ever wonder where the term “friend of Dorothy” comes from?
But please, continue to signpost your ignorance and throw terms like faggot around to show us all what a big butch masculine Neanderthal you are. It’s cute and funny.
There is nothing in the book or the movie to indicate that the Lion, the Tin Man, or the Scarecrow are gay, non binary, etc. The fact that many gay men are obsessed with Dorothy does not make it a gay movie. These ideas have been imposed on it from the outside. They do not come from within it.
shareYou are a hateful homophobe and an ignorant fool. That is all I will say to you.

How did you get "hateful homophobe" and "ignorant fool" from liscarkat's answer - which had nothing but fact in it?
Look, if you like to imagine Oz is a gay movie, then by all means watch it, enjoy it, sing and dance along to the songs, and rub one out to the tin man if it makes you happy, but don't expect the rest of us see this for what it isn't.
See there you go with the homophobia. Screw you. I don’t give a f—k whether or not it has anything “gay,” what I take issue with is this tone of “How DARE you slander this classic movie attaching the “gay” label to it!” And now you’re making fun of me revealing your homophobia. Screw you. Again, an ignorant fool. Fact.

You are correct, and to be honest I'm a bit ashamed of what I posted. Please, please, please don't do anything rash based on my poorly chosen response.
Somewhat off topic but not completely - do you think the Tin Man used something like axle grease for anal lubrication or maybe something more natural like pork tallow???
There is nothing in the story to suggest they are straight either, since there are no romance elements at all. People can relate to I think it’s fine if people find something relateable to them even if it isn’t intended. But it obviously that isn’t good enough any more. It has to be forced everywhere.
