shareNah - they are definitely Asian - but some are mixed with Hispanics. It is odd though - despite being and looking Asian, and I've been to PH on many occasions, most of them do have hispanic last names. I wonder if during colonization, all newborns were mandated to switch their first and last names to hispanic? Alternatively, Spaniards mixed in with a lot of locals - but because the colonization ended a long while ago, Asian genes re-emerged as the most dominant ones, thus while the last names remained, they still look Asian.
