he is ignored in canada
we know he is nuts.
shareIn a group the only sane person will look insane compared to the others.
I guess some also just don't like that he brings negative attention to his home country.
I mean, forced speech? You can do better Canada.
I'll answer you using Michel Foucault's Thoughts about discourse.
Foucault describes three external exclusions which constrain discourse and which lead to discourse being produced. Taboo; distinction between true and false and distinction between the mad and the sane. I focusing on the latter.
To called some one mad or nuts it's a way of silencing positions you dislike. When someone is perceived as crazy you should not even bother to answer his arguments. It is a common practice among progressives to continue to control information and silence any alternative that threatens their worldview. I think you understand my point here.
Its not only that. Zizek compared this behaviour with the stalinists in the USSR. Every regime opponent was shown as mentally instable. Therefor opposition against the tyrrany meant, in this misanthropic view of the world, that you had a problem with your mental wellness and therefor you had to be cured.
Stalinists and fascists arent that far positioned from one another.
Get a life, fascist.
