The UK is turning into Greece and Italy

Sad to see. I knew that stupid Brexit referendum was a joke.

reply

Italy turning the corner. We could do with some of that!

reply

a corner back to Benito.

reply

And back to the two new governments each month like they had in the seventies.

reply

Not even close. Stop listening to MSM or butthurt lefties.

reply

MSN and lefties don't know history. Well, here's what they know: Benito and Hitler bad. Anybody (like Truss) who doesn't agree with the leftist agenda bad. Therefore: Truss = Mussolini and Hitler.

reply

that government won't last six months.

reply

Nazi fascism? Italy should be invaded and their fascist leader removed. At the very least we should blockade Italy to force the masses into overthrowing their fascist leader. People seem to forget where fascism and hatred leads to in Europe. Have we not learnt anything?

reply

Some of us have learned not to listen to Fake News that calls people fascist for no reason!

reply

I voted Remain, ie: NO Brexit!

reply

I voted leave ... that may have been a mistake.

There was a point in the negotiations where uk were offered "out of EU but still access remain in that trade market"
which was the ideal situation but we fucked it off quibbling about other small shit.

reply

Yeah, renounce all the bad things and keep the good ones lol

reply

No, leaving was absolutely correct. No way should some unelected bureaucrats in Brussels have any say whatsoever in laws that the British, or indeed any, people have to obey.

The EU is a cage that you have to pay to be trapped in, the sooner it dies the better for all Europeans.

The EU is a cage that you have to pay to be trapped in, the sooner it dies the better for all Europeans.

Was very sad when UK left the EU.
The Brexit caused personal dramas for many Brits living happily here for years.
Nationality isn't only a paper.

And even though I agree that the money-eating 'waterheads' in Brussels and Strasbourg need better control:
For what you just said you may drown on your foggy island. 👿

For you other Brits:
Please, come back! 💌
Together we're stronger.

reply

It was ‘very sad’ for the authoritarian pricks in Brussels who stole the democracy of the Brits and were feeding off their hard earned money.

People lived in various European countries before the EU existed. Nobody needs the EU to ‘allow’ them to have guests in their country.

Nobody is ‘stronger’ in the EU except the EU elites, everyone else is weaker, they’re bloodsuckers - draining your money and democratic rights to increase their wealth and power.

You want to be stronger? Join Britain in escaping the EU, kill it, and be free and prosperous.

reply

Betimes would like to throw Greece and Italy out of the EU.
And with Spain (or Spanish companies) are some chicken to eat also.
But that's NOT the solution.
Unity makes strong and fighting each other makes weak...old wisdom.
USA learnt that lesson (civil war).
We, Germany (btw. younger than the USA *wink*) learnt that lesson.
And UK needs to learn that their colonial area is over.

Escaping the EU will lead to European wars...again.
Rather come back to the table and discuss how to make it better.
As already said:
Agreed so far that Brussels and Strasbourg need better control (bog-holes).
Also clear that EU stays a confederation and isn't a federal state.
Yes, it shocked me also when the outside borders were opened in 2015.
An act of desperation and totally stupid (in my opinion).
So, the EU is far away of being perfect.
Let's unite and make it better!

reply

No, let’s kill the EU and all then all Europeans can be free, prosperous, and live in democracies.

reply

Yah, like the Ukraine.

reply

How is the EU like Ukraine?

reply

You continue to play dumb?
You said:
"No, let’s kill the EU and all then all Europeans can be free, prosperous, and live in democracies."
As the Ukraine was a free, prosperous and democratic country.
Now they fight for their lives...barely sheltered from their 'nice' neighbour Russia.

reply

Ukraine isn’t in the EU, and the fact that it is at war with Russia is utterly irrelevant. What is your point?

reply

Unity makes strong (EU).
Already said it, look above.
But you continue to ask useless questions to distract.

reply

You cannot reason with them, it's genetic.

reply

For that very reason Drooch already got a NAFO fella. 🐶
Please, next time be brave enough to reply with your main account. ☺

reply

"Drooch (4523) 22 minutes ago
No, leaving was absolutely correct. No way should some unelected bureaucrats in Brussels have any say whatsoever in laws that the British, or indeed any, people have to obey."

The Scots are saying the exact same thing. I don't blame them.

reply

They were asked and voted to stay in the union.

Also, the Scots get a ton of free money from England, whereas Brits were haemorrhaging money into the EU for the privilege of being ruled by Brussels bureaucrats they never voted for, so the situations are not remotely comparable.

Then of course you’ve got the millennia of history and shared geography of the British, no comparison to the EU - which was born yesterday and awkwardly tries to cram the British isles into the continent.

Plus, the Scottish people can vote on the lawmakers of Britain. The British cannot vote on the lawmakers of the EU. So again, no comparison.

reply

The Scots still have a Leave mandate to govern their own country and not be ruled by Westminster. Seems pretty similar to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

reply

No they don’t because they were asked and voted to stay in the union, as I said.

reply

Yes but the SNP
want another vote. And they have majority seats i believe. The only reason they've not done so already is because Westminster says no. Nicola Sturgeon may win in the high Court and be granted a second referendum.

reply

No, because they’ve already had their vote. It’s the same anti-democratic bullshit we see from Remoaners, demanding another vote until they get the result they want.

In a generation they can have another vote.

reply

The supreme Court may rule differently to your opinion. Scots may vote to stay in Britain regardless. My point is, that your argument for not being under the EU blanket is the same as the SNP argument for not being under Britain's blanket.

reply

Bullshit, the situations are not remotely comparable for the reasons I already explained here:

https://moviechat.org/nm4876461/Liz-Truss/6350578114008443bb93b265/The-UK-is-turning-into-Greece-and-Italy?reply=6352d1a1edcfd32646f1280b

reply

The Scots independence vote was a sham.

EU citizens living in Scotland - who were freely given a vote in the referendum - were scared into voting to remain in the UK because otherwise an independent Scotland would be cast out of the EU.

That was a key push of the vote No campaign. They thought they would lose their rights to work and live in Scotland.

The same people behind that "No" campaign subsequently campaigned for Brexit and guess what - they lost their EU place living in Scotland anyway! DESPITE Scotland itself voting in favour of remain!

Hilarious. You couldn't make it up... Anyway, that shows the original Independence referendum needs ratified on an honest platform.

reply

THIS

reply

I forgot to add a further element of humour to the previous post:-

Those same frightened EU citizens I mentioned - who were allowed to vote in the Scottish Independence reference - were subsequently denied a vote in the Brexit poll!

So they were allowed to vote for Scotland to remain in the UK but not allowed to vote for the UK to remain in the EU 😂.

A complete farce!

reply

Look, the argument is crystal clear and doesn't need any more fodder.

SCOTLAND SHOULD HOLD A NEW REFERENDUM.
Let them freely decide about the current and real condition of being in the UK.

Other than imperialist nostalgic english, I think everybody agrees that is the right, fair and democratic thing to do.

reply

That was never going to happen - why should Europe freely give us that kind of access. It was as realistic as getting a quick and equitable trade deal with the USA. It was all part of the big lie.

reply

Why should EU apparatchiks be dictating any of the decisions of European countries?

Interesting diction. ☻

It’s absurd when fascists try to blame Trump’s win on the completely discredited ‘Russian interference’ hoax, it’s ten times funnier when they try to do the same with Brexit 🤣

I didn't blame anybody.
Who are the "fascists"?

reply

Why did you share that link then? What point were you trying to make?

The fascists are the anti-democrats who want to force free people to live under dictatorship by overturning democratic elections.

You don't understand what a "fascist" is.
But it sounds good, right?

And yes, by all your behaviour, way of discussing, reasonings and dictions you showed (late) in this thread:
Good morning to Saint Petersburg! ☼

reply

I understand perfectly, you're just uncomfortable with your own fascistic tendencies being exposed.

You ignored the question. Let’s try again:

Why did you share that link then? What point were you trying to make?

reply

You still don't understand what a "fascist" is.
And answered your question.
You didn't understand the answer also or didn't want to understand it. So, here again:
Good morning to Saint Petersburg! ☼

reply

I understand perfectly, you're just uncomfortable with your own fascistic tendencies being exposed.

‘Good morning to Saint Petersburg!’ isn’t an answer to the question. Let’s try again:

Why did you share that link then? What point were you trying to make?

reply

Come on, now that cheap "fascist" accusation again.
You need an explanation where Saint Petersburg is?.
It's where your HQ is. *wink*

reply

Stop fucking around and answer the question, unless you want to be dismissed as another pointless troll who drops links and vapid cryptic comments as a substitute for proper arguments because you don’t have any.

That's the poor result of your consultation with the big boss?! You need better support.
Here, a NAFO fella for you. ☺

Now the usual self-declared victory.
Btw. the word "tit" is hate-speech.
The USA take that easy...we don't.

reply

The rise in jobless rate is equivalent.

reply

We know it too but they fudged the votes and won. If I'm not mistaken, only England won in the vote, just about.
N.I., Scotland & Wales voted to remain. With all the leave votes from all the countries it was decided to be a clear enough win.

People who want to move here atm are crazy ☹

reply

Nobody ‘fudged the vote’, you just can’t accept losing, plus you’re lying about Wales - they were clearly pro-Leave.

reply

My mistake.

reply

i would think scotland and northern ireland will be gone from the union in five to ten years.

reply

Democracy not your thing, huh?

reply

Yep. Any sensible government would have had a second referendum and we would almost certainly have stayed. There was an awful lot of 'I voted yes as a protest - I didn't think it would happen' and other assorted lamentations immediately afterward. But I guess it suited some people to rip us out and out we went.

reply

why would you leave the largest trading bloc in the world?

reply

The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) ?!

reply

Absolutely no bloody clue. But amongst my theories is that the EU were seeking to bring in legislation that might have limited some of the more nefarious activity in the city and some people were willing to spend a lot of money dodging that. Of course we also repeatedly told that they needed us more than we needed them and a favourable deal would be easy-peasy - I always thought that was total crap but some folks were dumb enough to believe it.

reply

Utter bullshit.

reply

I've an inkling that Drooch is not a fan of the EU 😏

reply

I was wondering that myself 😀

reply

Why would anyone be a fan of the EU?

reply

Drooch (4540) 14 minutes ago
Why would anyone be a fan of the EU?

Reasons were already explained above.
Some more rhetorical questions? ☺

reply

Where were they ‘explained above’?

reply

Because being in the EU means you pay to live in a cage in which unelected EU apparatchiks dictate laws that you have to obey. Fuck that, Britain is a democracy.

reply

It took Canada and the EU over ten years to negotiate a free trade deal. Then the UK left the EU and are now are begging Canada for a free trade deal. Canada seems to be in no rush.

reply

So what? Why would any of this be an excuse to steal the democracy of the British and force them to live under the rule of unelected EU apparatchiks?

reply

you speak populist nonsense.

reply

Asking a question is ‘populist nonsense’?

Notice how you completely dodge the question because you cannot even articulate the position you’ve adopted - that’s because you haven’t thought about any of this, just brainlessly drunk the Koolaid piped into you via the mainstream media.

You epitomise the chronic stupidity and blind tribalism typical of Remoaners.

reply

Yep, it was interesting who payed very much into the Brexit campaigns.

reply

Bullshit. You’re an anti-democrat and you want a rigged second vote to force the British people back under EU control. Not going to happen, tyrant.

reply

Kwasi Kwarteng's mini-budget disaster and the subsequent failure of Liz Truss's administration has all but guaranteed the UK will rejoin the single market and customs union. There's still a few years of faffing about and chaos to be endured before we reach that stage, but there are still some grown-ups in British politics and we now know the direction of travel.

Full EU membership (after a referendum) will follow one day too -- but we're a distance away from that being politically acceptable.

Still, the Brexit dream is over. We'll now start the steady journey back to pragmatism.

reply

There’s no way the British people will accept EU dictatorship after escaping, wake up.

reply

It will play out pretty much as I've outlined above. The wheels are already set in motion. The tide has turned. The mini-budget was the end of the Brexit fantasy. The rest is just a matter of timing.

You don't have to believe me. You just have to keep watching.

reply

Nah, you’re just another Remoaner clown. You were convinced you’d win the referendum and spectacularly failed, and now after having left (despite the best efforts of anti-democratic traitors like yourself) you think Britain will rejoin? 🤣

reply

Your ideological posturing won't affect the realpolitik. But good luck with it.

reply

Yeah, the same ‘realpolitik’ that lost the referendum and resulted in Britain leaving the EU - a scam ‘club’ which only benefits the unelected apparatchiks at the top and shits on the British people, who have to pay for the privilege of being in a cage they existed perfectly well without for centuries. The only Brits who want that are the fucking morons duped by the mainstream media into thinking that is a good deal 🤣 and naturally supine weakling cucks who love being dominated, like yourself.

reply

Sophomoric insults and rhetoric from 2018 notwithstanding, you'll just have to meet me back here in, say, six or seven years' time. At which point, you may finally understand the implications of the Kwarteng mini-budget and how it has set Britain on a different course from the one you would prefer. When even the Telegraph is publishing articles stating that Brexit was a mistake, you know something has changed.

But I think we'll end the exchange here, as I'm not attempting to persuade you of anything. You'll presumably go to your grave believing the things you believe. The world, however, has already changed around you. And you'll begin to see the results of that change in short order.

reply

I ‘believe’ in democracy. Tyrants, and their supplicants (you), will always try to erode faith in democracy so they can seize power.

History will kick you to the curb as it did Hitler and all the other little psychos who crave domination.

You failed to subjugate the British people under Hitler or the EU, and yet you still believe you can do it. Keep trying, shitbrain 🤣🍻

reply

Just bizarre. Have a great day.

reply

Little Hitlers tend to find the concept of democracy ‘bizarre’ so that tracks.

reply

We should declare war on France and retake the land we had 500 years ago (Historical Andy).

When do we want it? As soon as we've sorted out all the other problems....

reply

Is there someone else up there we can talk to?

reply

NO! Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

reply

It's not Brexit, it's all of Europe turning to shit with the exception of those countries that don't bend the knee to the SJW woke bullshit politics.
See Poland, see Hungary, see Czech Republic, now Italy, Sweden as well.

More countries are turning around from the self-destructive political course that is, mainly, based on socialist ideas in the end.
Big surprise...

reply

True.

It’s funny watching Remoaners still try to blame literally any faintly negative political or economic occurrence on ‘Brexit’.

Butthurt morons who can’t even articulate why they love the EU 🤦🏻‍♂️
