Sure he deserves it but I doubt he'd be interested at this point. He's closing in on the end of his physical prime and he hasn't been in true football shape in three years so it's very unlikely that he'd come back as good as he was. I don't imagine he'd want to come back rusty & under perform in a short lived comeback attempt while allowing the league who blackballed him out of the league to save face.

It would probably help if he would actually show some interest in playing. He obviously doesn't want to play as hes too busy being an activist. Nobody ever brings this up for some reason.

He was a pretty good QB. He did lead his team to the Super Bowl. He did it mostly with the read-option, and it was somewhat new at the time. Defenses now know how to defend it (mostly), and he is older. I doubt he could come back and have the success that he had before. But he may still be as good as half the clown-ass QBs in the league now. Who know......

And if all these issues had been addressed back when he took a kneel then we wouldn't be where we are today.

He doesn't "need" anything but to sit down and shutup. He's DONE as a football player. He was done during his last year. What exactly do you think he's going to do if someone signs him? Jack f'n squat. Give up.
