Harris had a sexual relationship with the then San Francisco Mayor and State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown for a period of time between 1994 to 1995. In his capacity as speaker, Brown appointed her to two political posts — first to the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, and then to the Medical Assistance Commission.

Sounds like she slept her way into politics to me. Where would she be today if she had not gotten her start on Mayor Willie's "staff"?

I wish you had one preferably older black woman in your life, just for a few hours. I wasn't super thrilled about Kamala's politics but I had the pleasure of spending time with a 61 yo sick woman recently. She was very low key, but talking to her I could feel how proud and happy she was to see this milestone met. I knew it was a big deal but I didn't really feel it until I spoke with her. It's a good thing for all of us so maybe don't be so quick to piss on the parade.

Too bad your friend got suckered by Kamala's "black" schtick. She's a well-to-do Jamaican/Indian who spent most of her childhood and youth in Canada. Joe Biden with his summer lifeguard job is probably closer to the African American experience than Kamala is.

And how can anyone be 'proud' of a person who earned 2 percent of the votes in her own bid for the Presidency, could not even win her own state, and was snuck in the back door to the number 2 spot for the Presidency? It's disgusting!

And how is it a 'good thing for all of us'? What possible good is this contemptible woman going to do? If you want to see America crumble, I guess in your eyes, it is good, but sorry, not my P.O.V.
