Tired of this guy trying to goad the U.S. into war with Russia

and his demands for active U.S. military and NATO intervention which would ignite WWIII. Then telling Biden what he should say in his State of the Union address. Meanwhile we see scores of images of young Ukrainian men and women scrambling out of their own country to avoid the war.

reply

agreed

Every day, there's a nuclear disaster he's screaming about - close the skies! Meanwhile, no airplanes are involved in any nuclear reactor operations - lol

reply

You are tired of a man trying everything in his power to save his country. A poor little whining privileged bastard you are.

reply

Fuck your comic book view of what’s going on. Two days ago this guy gives a speech in Frankfurt condemning the purported cowardice of NATO and the U.S. for refusing to launch a war against Russia. The highlight of the speech is this gem: “All the people who die from this day forward will also die because of you, because of your weakness.” How about he spend more time convincing his own military aged men and women not to abandon the country before lobbying America to engage in a shooting war with someone controlling the largest nuclear arsenal on the planet?

reply

[deleted]

well , i heard he's made it illegal for any able bodied man under 60 to leave the country , not to mention grab a weapon and fight .
so thats a start.

reply

yes but he made sure that israel could evacuate all his jewish brothers out of the country safely before forcing all the locals to fight and die in another pointless war

reply

ooh that sounds cynical . got any links n stuff?
does that means he's jewish?

reply

Amen

reply

Cut him some slack.

The man is highly stressed, obviously has had little sleep in the past week and is #1 on Putin's hit list.

reply

I agree. The guy is a dangerous loudmouth who doesn't seem to understand or care that US/NATO intervention would trigger the end of civilization and the deaths of millions, starting with every major population center in his own country.

According to the reports his government is putting out, about 10,000 Russian soldiers have died and only a couple hundred Ukrainian soldiers, so why does he need US and NATO troops anyway? He apparently has an army of Rambos.

reply

Thousands of dead Ukrainians, most not soldiers.

reply

Thousands of dead Ukrainians, most not soldiers.

So Ukrainian soldiers are hiding in the back while pushing civilians to face Russian troops.

Ah! The glorious army of Ukraine! God bless the NATO and their clever strategy to reduce military casualties: use civilians instead! 😂

reply

That's a pretty wild assumption. If NATO intervened, and the US and other nations sent their militaries in to push back Russia, the most likely outcome is a Russian withdrawal. Russia doesn't have the resources to fight a war like that, and if they try, they will lose. Why do you think they will try? How do you suppose civilization ends? Do you think Russia will choose to launch all their nukes, and be on the receiving end of everyone else's nukes rather than opt not to annex part of Ukraine?

reply

If it's as simple as you say, then why are the vast majority of experts advising extreme caution?

reply

Where did I write anything was simple, or eschew using extreme caution? I only said that your statement that offering military help to Ukraine is tantamount to ending civilization.

reply

So six months after withdrawal from a completely futile 20 year war in Afghanistan in which the United States and 27 other European nations were defeated by…. the Taliban…. at a cost of two and a quarter trillion dollars and 50,000 casualties, you suggest these same actors instigate open military hostilities with the untethered dictator of the world’s largest nuclear power just 400 miles from its borders while - by the way - simultaneously trying to engineer its complete and sudden economic collapse. What’s your confidence level in that “most likely outcome” you articulate?

reply

In the first place, I never advocated anything of the sort. I wrote that equating offering military help to Ukraine is not tantamount to ending civilization.

If you want to compare Afghanistan to Ukraine, go ahead, but I see no similarity there. The U.S. was not in Afghanistan to conquer a country, or to push out an invader. Truthfully, they were there with no real objective, but the general idea seemed to be to prepare the population to repel the Taliban after the U.S. exit. Regardless, it has nothing to do with what's going on in Ukraine.

If NATO sent armies in to push Russia back, they would be defending a country that is defending itself from a recent invader. You seem to think Russia would retaliate by destroying the planet and killing everyone. I think it's more likely that they would retreat. There would be a bloody conflict, which no one wants, and I'm not advocating this should happen. I'm only saying I think "Russian retreat" is a much more likely outcome than "end of civilization."

reply

Okay, I misunderstood and you make a reasonable point about the differences between the two wars. But, I don’t agree with you. I think it easy to imagine Russian submarine retaliation against an aircraft carrier etc. Anti-satellite weapons would be used due to America’s war fighting reliance on that technology. And in general, I’m exhausted with Americans being killed after media and politicians get war fever but don’t do the fighting. But I respect what you’re saying now that I understand.

reply

Scared shitless of putin's bluff much?
What a giant pussy you are.
I would send in troops just to show him that he is not impressing anybody.

reply

Ukraine has a website where foreigners can apply directly and go to Ukraine and fight Russians

https://fightforua.org/

you know, just to show them they’re not impressing anybody

reply

Great to know.

reply

Thing is though, BeaSouth, people are actually going to that website and actually are signing up. Are you sure you want to advertise this?

reply

If Heisenberg decides to go, from photos I have seen, I understand he will meet and serve alongside many beautiful Ukrainian women soldiers who all look like pop singers and Playboy Bunnies.

Hopefully, the plywood rifles are only issued for training purposes.

reply

It’s widely publicized by Western media from the NY Post to Reuters to Radio Free Europe. You should see the seven minute MSNBC propaganda piece encouraging Americans to go fight in Ukraine. My facetious post on MovieChat doesn’t come close to the scope and reach by Western media urging others to go fight Russians.

reply

He wants help more than anything. Any kind of help. Asking for a full-out attack on Russia might instead get him a handful of Stingers and other arms he can use to stalemate Russia until the Russian people have had enough of this pint sized asshole's lunacy and take him out.

reply

it is sad that Ukraine has this sorry ass actor helping them during this crisis. how did he even get elected?!? must be fraud like biden pulled here

reply

I don't know what kind of actor he is, but he's a great, inspirational, and courageous leader. Reagan was an actor and he flipped me from a Dem to Republican.

reply

i heard he got famous for playing piano with his dick

reply

Reagan?

reply

A great inspirational leader would protect his people. By igniting the situation and arming civilians and telling them to entrench in big cities he aggravates situation much more which results in many more innocent people dying. He should focus on providing as much help as he can for his people and fight this diplomatically. He should realize he doesnt have military power to turn the tide.

reply

.. and fight this diplomatically.

I guess Zelenskyy doesn't subscribe to the Neville Chamberlain method of keeping peace...

Excellent post comrade.

reply

Russia has lost 4,000 troops in Ukraine in two weeks. They lost 14,000 in 9 years in Afghanistan. Why would Zelensky and Ukraine just up and quit now?

reply

Chances are they wouldn't have been invaded with someone else at the helm.

reply

I fear we will wake up one morning and learn that a Russian submarine has sunk an American merchantman carrying weapons for Ukraine. Or, the Russians will destroy a U.S. satellite providing signals intelligence. There are so many plausible, indeed likely, paths to escalation as the U.S. government and media push to the precipice of active hostilities. And although Zelenskyy may only be demanding the highest level of help in order to compromise for something lower, a whole lot of Western journalists — intoxicated by the Good versus Evil superhero movie script — are simply transcribing whatever propaganda Ukrainian officials are pumping out despite the fact that it’s plainly aimed at instigating WWIII.

reply

He wants a no fly zone the most right now.

reply

Agreed. But this “no fly zone” is a euphemism that downplays what is really involved: American combat pilots and air defense artillerymen ordering Russia not to enter Ukrainian airspace and directly attacking and killing any Russian aviators who disobey. And we are so arrogant to suppose the Russians won’t endeavor to destroy that threat. A no fly zone would, by definition and design, immediately ensure that the two countries with by far the planet's largest nuclear stockpiles would be fighting one another.

reply

I don't know why every voice in the world is not united against this coming to be. This issue dwarfs every other sacred cow and championed cause. Worried about Climate Change? How about nuclear winter? Black Lives Matter? NO lives matter to anyone who pushes the button. COVID? How about radiation sickness?

Where are all those dissenters and protesters right now? Probably itching for US/NATO involvement to "save" Ukraine... As if Ukraine would be anything more than a slightly extra-sooty spot on the charred husk of the world after a nuclear war between Russia and the West.

reply

It is genuinely hard to exaggerate how overwhelming the unity and consensus in U.S. political and media circles has become. It’s as close to a dissent-free discourse certainly since the invasion of Iraq over non-existent WMDs and we saw how that turned out.

reply

You're right about that. I'm glad I don't have cable to see the nauseating spectacle of watching this man grovel for assistance before practically every NATO governing body and even at the Grammys where a lot of uninformed musicians are jumping on this Ukraine bandwagon.

reply

He is evil !

reply

I think most people who can fight are staying.

Anyway, he's just trying to keep his country independent.

reply

Yeah, many putin shills itt that should fuck off to Russia!
