This is not accurate. The Klu Klux Klan was first established in 1865 by a group of confederate veterans in Tennessee. Nathan Bedford Forrest, a confederate general, was the first leader of the group and was given the title of ‘grand wizard’ in 1867.
As for Carano’s statements, I read back over them and they didn’t seem anti-Semitic, but maybe a little confused. I think she was referring to Krystallnacht, the mass looting an and destruction of, primarily, Jewish properties and businesses for a few days in the late 1930’s. I could be mistaken though.
From what I gathered, it seems Carano was trying to warn people about how targeting groups, even political groups, can quickly spiral out of control.
She removed the post once she became aware that some people were reading it in a way she didn’t intend. These things happen. I do not think she was trying to be hateful towards anyone.
