Rosa from Brooklyn 99 actually nailed that kind of character. She was funny and sympathetic. Aubrey Plaza was just annoying and never funny.
She fills the box-office niche of "Sarcastic girl who says 'oh my god' every second followed by 'like seriously' followed by another 'oh my god'" . And then stares vapidly at things , saying nothing. So, she can encourage more young women to have zero personality.
