Why do drug addicts think that the police have to care for drug addicts?

What actually causes a person who does drugs to think that the police have to care for people who do drugs?

reply

Maybe its the drugs?

reply

What kind of drugs are you on?

For the rest of us, when the police arrest/handcuff a person, they are responsible for their safety and well-being. That is why normal people think it is bad to continue to kneel on a perp's back even after they can't find a pulse.

reply

Because they are human beings.

reply

Yes. And human beings make their own beds to lie in. They act a fool then foolish things happen.
If Floyd wasn’t a career criminal meth head then he wouldn’t have found himself on the pavement that night.

reply

So let him lie on the pavement than.

reply

"So let him lie on the pavement than"

Floyd was only on the pavement because he was resisting arrest in the first place.

reply

Yup.

reply

Do you mean incarcerated persons who have drug addictions? They have to care for inmates with drug problems because jail does not = death sentence. There are also a ton of legal jumbo surrounding "Cruel and unusual punishments," which basically mandate that correctional staff have to care for inmates

reply

By "care for" do you mean "not murder them without a reason"?
