It was pretty shocking what happened to her back then

At the end of 2009 she was an A-List star. Months later in 2010 after walking off set of Transformers 3 she was instantly blackballed.

People today don't realize how shocking that was. She was the most popular female celebrity in the world, every man wanted her and every woman wanted to be her. She got blackballed over a dispute with a director and she was over in a minute. Everyone was shocked.

She talked back, she showed attitude and she was fired or walked off set and it was all over. This is still a shocking cautionary tale.

There’s always more to the story, lots more….

i dont' know if any of that was really true. i certainly dont remember it that way. but i didnt follow her career religiously anyway. but i still feel like youre mistaking her for halle berry in terms of popularity or something. regardless she's still had a good career, just not one involving that loser in question

and if thats what it took to get her into the gaming sphere... it was all worth it 😜

The legend goes.... She said Bay was like working for Hitler. Steven Spielberg caught wind and told Bay he had to let her go because Spielberg was offended. Fox and Bay had made up a few years after the incident, as he had her star in his TMNT 2014 film.

Not sure she was ever 'the most popular female celebrity in the world', but she torpedoed her own career. No matter how strongly she felt she was in the right over what she said (if that is indeed what happened), it was unbelievably naive of her.

She absolutely was. Do you remember 2009? Were you around?

I don't mean popular as in she had talent or has a large body of work, I mean popular in the amount of hype she had. She was voted the sexiest woman in the world, she was constantly mobbed by the paparazzi and was on the cover of every beauty and fashion magazine at the time. I believe even the Vogue editor back then had said they'd never seen a bigger "It girl" than her. The thing is she was supposed to have the huge career. That's what Hollywood wanted for her at that time. She was being promoted constantly.

But then, like I said it was all over in a minute after the falling out with director and other issues. Apparently some antisemitic comments(?).

I was around - and I don't think she was the most popular female celebrity in the world. The only reason I knew of her existence back then was because one of my kids mentioned her one day.

I agree that they were certainly pushing her for 'great things'. And whilst she's obviously not poor now, she could have had a far bigger career. Not hugely talented, but she was insanely good looking. If she'd only reined herself in and used a bit of common sense.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies did pretty well, that was 2014 and 2016.

It is after that, after she was 30, which was the problem.

You have to see the box office numbers of following movies:
Above the Shadows 2019 Gross worldwide $1,594
Zeroville 2019 Budget $6,000,000 (estimated) Gross worldwide $69,396
Jangsa-ri 9.15 2019 Gross US & Canada $70,853 Gross worldwide $7,883,200 (This is a Korean movie, so understandable)
Think Like a Dog 2020 Gross worldwide $1,239,498
Rogue 2020 Gross worldwide $242,884
Midnight in the Switchgrass 2021 (With Bruce Willis) Budget $15,000,000 (estimated) Gross worldwide $229,811

She was in "New Girl" TV series, and did not do movies between 2017 to 2018.

When you have box office numbers like that, you can't really blame Hollywood.

I kept wondering why she suddenly disappeared and wasn't in the later Transformers movies.
