Starting to hear divorce rumors!

So I've heard that Harry is seeing divorce lawyers, from gossips who have a ... better-than-average rate of accuracy, for internet gossips. And no, during the long entertaining trainwreck of their public lives together, I have not heard that either was seeing divorce lawyers, this is actually a first.

So let's see how accurate my sources are, shall we?

reply

I was pretty sure one of them would end up divorcing the other.

reply

Right after their debacle of a staged "paparazzi chase", that had the whole world laughing at them!

One theory is that they're trying to distract people from that little disaster, we shall see if these rumors are for real or not.

reply

They won't stop me laughing!

reply

Why else would anyone pay attention to them!

Seriously, they are THE most hilarious celebrities ever, so stupid and so convinced that they're smarter than everyone.

reply

They are an absolute joke.

reply

And if they really are divorcing, that ought to be hilarious as well. Imagine, he was fool enough to talk about his love of illegal drugs and tequila in his autobiography, so she's got to have a TON of dirt on him. But if he runs crying to daddy, then he's going to have whatever MI5 has on her on his side...

You know, I hope they manage to work things out and stay together, their folie au deux is SO entertaining that I'd miss it if they broke up!

reply

That could all get very messy. And costly.

reply

One of them? It usually takes two to tango.

reply

Laws can obviously vary. In the UK only one party needs to seek the divorce. No consent is needed from the other party.

reply

Of course. It only takes one party to initiate proceedings, but what I meant is that the final divorce is mutual. It's not one divorcing the other. They're both divorcing.

reply

One party divorces the other. The end result is they're both divorced.

reply

Divorce is generally not a good thing, but in this case, I can't help but think he'd be better off.

reply

Don't believe it, both have been scarred by divorce of their parents. Plus you bet his dad , Will and Kate, plus Princess Anne would take a red Eye flight to Montecito to aid them in healing issues they have. Believe you me, the royals do not want another messy divorce to stain their image as they have worked decades to clean it up to some extent, after the last 3 in the 90's. Maybe Harry and Meg are becoming dillusioned after a chaotic 5 years, but even royal marriages have their rough spots. I am sure it has not been smooth sailing for Edward and Will either, but they endured. Plus this divorce will make Charles and Dis divorce look like a tea party. Sadly, considering how they hurt and disappointed her, I can see Meghan slinging dirt left and right at the royals.

But I can see Harry slinging mud too, despite caring about her. Meghan does come across as very vengeful when burned!

reply

Isn't that what always follows the tell-all memoir?

reply

Since the "tell all memoir" described the wife as perfect and saintly, there were no rumors at the time. The rumors started to appear after the "near catastrophic car chase" in New York, that had the whole world laughing at their exaggerated claims of danger.

reply

I wonder if he'll return to the royal fold if that is the case. I don't think he did anything unforgivable, like his Uncle Prince Andrew.

reply

His family will forgive him. The Twitterati, where today's *real* power (not pointless constitutional power) lies, will be MUCH LESS forgiving...

reply

I don't think Harry will ever return to being a working royal, Harry's popularity has tanked and I doubt he has the patience to slowly rebuild his reputation. Or to regain the trust of Charles and William; rumor has it that neither will take his calls or be in his presence without witnesses, they'll only communicate with him in writing, they're so afraid that Harry will make wild claims for his next paid interview or tell-all book that they want to be able to refute anything and everything.

No, I think he's going to end up as a "Remittance Man", which is nice work if you can get it, and I know people who've aspired to that job! Basically, a Remittance Man is the black sheep of a rich family, who is given a generous allowance to go and live somewhere where his antics won't blot the escutcheon. Colonia Africa and Australia used to be full of them, and if Harry ever gets a divorce that's where he'll be happiest - not being a working royal, but living in Botswana pretending to save the elephants, while mostly getting hammered.

reply

Interesting. I don't follow the royals very closely, but it's been kind of impossible to ignore the Harry and Megan drama. It's been so strange.

reply

More hilarious than strange, which is why I pay attention to those useless twats.

It's so rewarding! You never know when they'll pull something as ridiculous as claiming they suffered a "high speed paparazzi" chase in the Midtown Manhattan traffic!

reply

I hope not, at least for Harry's sake.

He will be toast, as far as the public is concerned, if he divorces a Black woman.

NEVER go woke, UNLESS you are prepared to STAY woke. 😠 He will not get points for 'effort'.

reply

True Black communities worldwide will blame both for giving up, I can see his family angry too, since the wedding was extravagant! I doubt they would divorce anytime time soon. I also think they would give Will and Kate hell if they decided to split for different reasons.

reply

He's a racist..

reply

And so it begins...

Just as I predicted.

reply

Yeah, maybe I jumped the gun. I withdraw that comment.

Harry is a misogynist...

reply

Oh, I entirely agree that there's plenty of evidence to suggest Harry's a misogynist and a racist (judging by his memoir alone), but I'm not sure it's fair to come to that conclusion on the basis of a possible divorce, although that won't stop many from doing so.

In other words, Harry is those things, but that's incidental to the divorce (if not necessarily the reasons behind it).

reply

Okay, then maybe he's a heterophobe.

It can't be something as obvious as marital discord..

reply

I've read Megs was shocked to discover Harry's lack of personal wealth and her plans of world domination haven't gone too well. I think Harry isn't right in the head either and she has woken up to him. If there is a divorce it will be Megs who initiates it.

reply

I don't actually expect a quick divorce, because without Harry Meg is nothing but another Real Housewife, and Harry's mommy issues are driving his actions.

But I enjoy passing along totally unverifiable rumors, and there's got to be at least some friction after the "near catastrophic car chase" [unkind snicker].

reply

She has showed her hand and the whole world now knows exactly what she is and are bored by it. I think they are bored by him as well. I think a lot of their publicity seeking is driven by her and he just plays along because he is a lost little boy. The sad thing is he had it made as an actual Prince and she married a Prince but they both still thought they could somehow improve their situation.

Not.

reply

He plys along because he wants to live like a billionaire... with only $40 million of his own!

reply

That's pauper money for Megs.

reply

You mean pauper money for Meg's *aspirations*!

She herself would never earn that much in a lifetime, but it seems that she too wants to live like a billionaire on a millionaire's budget. I mean look at them, they've moved to a place where they aren't expected to keep up with the Joneses, but the Winfreys.

reply

Yes, for anyone else $40 million would be a Godsend! Even $1 million and I would retire and live comfortably in my current house, no problems! But then I don't want designer clothes and private jets.

Their whole shtick is based on image whilst pretending to be about the poor folk and whatever Woke bandwagon they think will win them support.

Netflix I believe it was referred to them as Grifters for how they got millions to make a TV show.

reply

I'd be thrilled, too, but my dream house is a cabin in the woods, not a huge mansion in Montecito with 200 acres of formal gardens that costs millions a year in upkeep and security.

And FYI he rumors about those two having money problems are getting louder since I started this thread.

reply

Yep, I would be quite happy living the very quiet life and not worrying about money ever again. Even with $40 million I don't think I would buy a lot of stuff.

I guess being a nobody I wouldn't need security anyway, not in the way that they do. Another reason Harry should remained within "The Firm" he was set for life with others taking care of him.

Given the way they are spending I am not surprised that they are short on money. And more and more of the Hollyweird elite are turning their backs on them. https://www.news.com.au/entertainment/celebrity-life/royals/car-crash-in-slow-motion-sussex-spending-spree-that-changed-everything/news-story/41cde5d9390281da377e68af9fce074c

reply

It's their life, all you can do is wish them well. I pretty much have lost interest in them and the other Windsors in general. Unless some juicy headline captures my attention of course regarding any of them! In one video, it was mentioned that Diana's sisters attended Lilibet's christening. That is nice some family members came.

reply

They are a train wreck and unless the train wreck explodes (again) at some point I feel like we've seen it all when it comes to those two. Of course Megs will keep trying to be what she feels she deserves to be and Harry will just go along for the ride not realizing that he already had it made before he met her.

If there is any truth behind the conspiracy theories of Diana's death than it must be weird for the Spencer's to be around the Royals. I can see how Harry might be messed up (and they all seem messed up anyway) but he has taken it to a whole new level.

reply

Since you never hear about them anymore, I wonder how close the guys are to their Spencer relatives, there is a recent video out about the Spencers since the Queen passed. The Queen was Diana brother's godmother, I did not know that. I saw few videos about her nieces, I forgot who their parents were. I recall the Sussexes attending a wedding of one cousin in either 2018 or the following year.
According the recent video, Di's mom could not stand the Queen Mother, she felt she was a shrew!

reply

Honestly I dont think they would divorce. Because he seems happy with her bossing around and him being this beta male and just follow her lead.

I dont think his "awakening" will happen. And she will cling to him because he is royalty. She is nobody without him. Just some divorcee.

reply

They are stuck with each other. If she divorces him she has lost the only leverage she has and if he divorces her he will be begging on King Daddy's door step in next to no time because she will take him to the cleaners. She can take him to the cleaners anyway even if she does initiate the divorce.

They will keep trying with less and less success to build a media career whilst living beyond on their means. There will always be someone to bail them out, just enough to keep them going a little longer.

reply

Personally, I think all the young royals are stuck with their spouses. Kate and Will are the golden couple now, the press will make mincemeat out of them, if there is even a whift of discontention. To a smaller extent, the same with Andrew and Anne's kids. No biggie, everyone seems content, I hope it lasts.

Considering Edward is the only one never to divorce, I can see He and Sophie stealing the limelight away from Harry and Megs if they choose to split. Man royal soapy gossip and intrigue!
