Barron Trump has not been put into the media for any cause other than being Trump's son.. Greta was used by her parents to push a political agenda and she glsdly took part. The difference is, ine chose to be in the media and the other didn't.

Isn't the topic about adult men picking on a young girl? You said Baron didn't deserve to be targeted because he didn't choose to be in the public eye (which I thoroughly agree with incidentally) and I just pointed out that conservatives weren't so righteous when they went after Chelsea.

I'll continue NOT to talk shit about Baron, but I do wonder if that will have any effect on the man babies who treat vile attacks on a teenager like a daily necessity. Doubt it.

Barron was not "put in the media", he was mentioned because his name was Barron, he was the President's son, and the lady was making a point that the American President is not royalty, he can name his son Barron, but that does not make him a Baron. Quite a clever pun to efficiently and clearly explain the point.

What isn't very clever is that you forgot (conveniently), the obvious reason why it's often men who criticise her;

Because it's MEN whom she attacked! And maliciously condemned.

At that UN speech, and ever since, her abuse has been directed predominantly at men. It's predominantly men who run the world, remember? That's what you all object to, remember?

Now, if you really want a world where all the males are pathetic and weak enough to submit without comment to little children screaming hatred at them and their lives, their work, and their competence, just keep doing what you're doing. Otherwise stfu.

Sick? Really? What is sick that instead of talking about issues, conservatives go back to the days of elementary school playground bullying and completely tear apart a young girl? That is what is sick. Real men don't go after a young girl and brutally bully her. Real men act like adults and discuss issues. What is really sick is that these guys cry and whine when someone talks about Baron(something that is definitely wrong) but have no trouble calling this girl names. These guys will come back and say, but she put herself out there, so she deserves to be abused. Chelsea Clinton didn't put herself out there when she was 13, but that didn't stop conservatives from trashing her.

Oh, men are okay now, are they? Well, make up your mind. Are we "real men", or "conservatives"?

Hey, real men don't "cry and whine". We respond to aggression and return it in kind.

If we see a famous kid who's minding his own business and not taking advantage of his position, being pilloried, we go to his defence. If we see another famous kid who is taking advantage of her protected gender and young age to publicly ridicule and slander a specific group of people, simply because she's convinced herself that they somehow harmed her, we go instead to their defence. That's a natural reaction of real men.

That pathological certainty that a certain group of people have personally harmed her is a symptom of various psychological disorders, and that's what's sick. And when a person with that mentality is allowed, even encouraged, to express her paranoia in public without repercussions, that sort of thing doesn't sit well with "real men". We have been continuously reviled and demeaned for generations, and her gender has tried to implicate us in all the flaws and failings of the world. We've tolerated it mostly because it's been grown women who have attacked us, and therefore it is acceptable for us to reciprocate. But now they're using a female child with a disability, and she's considered to be not responsible and therefore exempt from attack. All that's permitted is to complain about her. And, of course, when we do, her handlers are ready...

It's an ongoing campaign of suppression, backed my militant individuals, and you all should remember that men will always interpret such actions as a war manouvre.

The second she willing chose to don the stage, she gave up her privacy and is now a public figure. With that comes criticism.

If criticizing an exploited child disgusts you...then maybe you should direct your slacktivism on those that put children into that line of fire.

I'm fine with people disagreeing with what she stands for. It would be nice to actually be able to talk about things, but no. The vitriol and hatred towards this girl is despicable. So many of these posts criticize the way she looks. What the hell does that have to do with anything. But no, these people choose to insult her by calling her a potato, or gollum, or the precursor to a fat, dumpy, butch lesbian.

Again, please tell me what that has to do with her message.

I'm really sad that the media seemed to only give attention. There were many other kids that made speeches at the UN. Speeches that were about the environment, and climate change, and clean water. Are they exploited too?

Conservatives always deflect. They can never respond to the actual comment. They use vulgarities, instead of having a conversation. They have the ability to parrot other conservatives while not having any ideas of their own. I believe that they are in constant fear of being exposed as a charlatan. Their anger is a symptom of that fear.

yeah, we have a lot of "not our best people" here in America ... lots worse than we get from Mexico. I cannot believe how the comments here are just so stupid and offensive ... they are really scared of a little girl. I think more and more a lot of these comments all over and from sock-puppet accounts, more than we could ever believe. The right wing has to find ways to pull the wool over everyone's eyes and make them see a world that is not real, where they need to act based on fear and hate.

Disagree with her all you want, but completely trashing her is exactly what conservatives have done for the past 40 years. Conservatives weren't like this before, but somehow a bunch of bullies decided that the only way to have an intelligent conversation is not have one. Bullying is the tactic to use when you know that any argument you present is full of holes. Peace on Earth, good will toward men. I still remember when that meant something...

Probably the Russians way of dividing our country between people who want progress and those who are afraid of it. Seems to be working but I hope the rational and moderate among us see through this fog of lies and hatred and vote thoughtful people into positions of influence.
Even if all politicians are crooks, pubs like Trump and Scott Walker are real, actual criminals.
