Fantastic in Abigail
I went and saw Abigail today. The talented actor Alisha Weir is fantastic and delightful in the film. She is a real star and I liked her performance. I hope she does more horror films in the future.

shareYikes.
shareFBI: Go on...
shareFFS.
shareYou didn't like her performance?
shareFFS.
shareGood talk. Way to communicate and explain your position. You have sure convinced me!
shareI'm not talking about her performance and you know it.
shareYou don't think she seems like a delightful and lovely person?
shareI don't think about little girls' personalities.
shareThat's fine for you. She is an actor playing a role, not just a little girl.
shareShe is still a little girl underneath the part of her that likes to pretend to be other people that don't really exist.
shareShe is a teenage girl, which is irrelevant to my comments about her performance. She has star power, charm and charisma and is a good actor. I think it is fine to comment on any actor's performance or acting abilities.
shareHer acting isn't her personality.
shareI know that, but she seems like she has a nice personality, which makes her a likeable person.
shareYou think a lot more.

Yes, she did a great job in both of the films I have seen her in.
shareOh c'mon, BNP said nothing untoward. This looks like a gang-up on a perfectly innocent post about an actress. One guy even edited his post after BNP replied to make it look shady. That's creepy.
What is the point of MovieChat pages for child actors if every response is going to be labeled as inappropriate due to age?
I hate kids. But if they're acting, their careers are open to scrutiny, positive or negative.
What if a person commenting comments on a lot of underage girls profiles and seems a bit obsessed with them?
share"She is such a beautiful young lady. I bet she is going to be a gorgeous teen and adult as she grows up."

Here is one of his tame posts but was still called out on the replies for his post history.

There is nothing wrong with commenting on their performances. It's when people start commenting on their looks that it gets negative feedback.
BNP has a history of commenting on underage actresses and whilst his post here maybe doesn't cross your threshold of inappropriateness, his history means any untoward comment will cause a backlash. He has had several posts over the years that cross the line for many and when taken with all the other posts that are veering towards inappropriateness he doesn't get much leeway from many users on here.
Many people on this site like him and his posts in general but I think pretty much everyone wishes he would stop talking about young girls in such a manner. Calling a 14 year old lovely and saying you can't take your eyes of her is enough to raise the eyebrows of most.
The enchanting and lovely Alisha Weir is fantastic and delightful in the film. She is a real star and I could hardly take my eyes off her.share
dead on point here. this guy needs repaired.
sharehow much flack do you need for you to finally realize how fucked up this is? Pages and pages and pages from a large variety of people basically saying SEEK HELP. When are you going to get the point?
We're telling you DEAD POINT STRAIGHT ON that it's wrong and all you do is keep trying to justify it over and over and OVER. "I'm not doing anything wrong..." We are telling you that you are. Plain, simple, direct.
And we never change our tune.
Pointing it out in public is you asking for help. It's quite obvious. Otherwise you'd shut up and enjoy "liking" all the pretty young things that are free all over instagram, facebook, etc where you don't have to point it out to others.
It's WRONG. Seek help.
Unfortunately we've had this issue rear it's head over and over again for over a year now.
I think it's his sheer stubbornness and defence of himself in the face of what must be 10+ users on here telling him what he's saying is inappropriate that baffles everyone. I'm not sure if and when he'll accept that a grown man shouldn't be commenting on young girls in the manner that he does.
I do wonder if he freely talks like this about young actresses to his friends and family in real life. Something makes me think he doesn't because surely if he spoke like this in real life someone at some point would have had a heated discussion with him.
He must know that it's not socially acceptable to talk like this and that makes you ask why he keeps on doing it on this site.
I've tried turn a blind eye to his posts like this because it's not worth getting worked up about and the moderators seem to see no issue so what can you do?
I'm not sure it's a cry for help so much as some sort of compulsion where he feels a strong desire to comment on how cute he finds them.
this guy doesn't grasp how internet functions.... IP addresses, switches, tracking, ISP legal obligations....
shareI understood how the internet functions, considering I work in tech support. I'm not doing or condoning doing anything illegal online so ISP legal obligations are completely irrelevant. Saying a pretty teen movie star is pretty is not illegal.
shareAt this point dont you think he's just doing it to rile people up?
shareProbably, but hey it keeps me amused.
shareShe was very good in the movie.
She did well at taming her Irish accent, that's something that's difficult for many actors and especially for children who aren't as experienced.
She did a great job. She reminded me a bit of Kirsten Dunst's performance in "Interview With A Vampire".
shareYes - a natural actor. Let's hope growing up doesn't take that away from her. Reminds me of Natalie Portman in The Professional.
