Why didn't DOGE stop Trump's Super Bowl attendance?

The trip was a waste of taxpayer dollars. https://thetab.com/2025/02/10/inside-donald-trumps-drama-filled-day-out-at-the-super-bowl-and-how-much-it-cost

Trump should have paid for it himself, or just stayed in the White House and watched it on TV like most other Americans.

reply

Agreed, but that buffoon needs to hog the spotlight of every waking hour

reply

This is a mental illness check.

When President Biden bashed former President Trump's border wall policy but then turned around and used taxpayer money to build a $500,000 wall around his vacation house....did you go to the Biden web page and leave a message about wasteful spending?

reply

It's still a problem for some people... if Trump found the cure for cancer they would find a reason he should be crucified for doing it.

reply

If Trump found a cure for cancer, he would profit from it at the expense of his fellow Americans.

reply

If Trump found a cure for cancer, you would find a way to complain about it and try to spin it as a negative at the expense of your fellow Americans, if you even ARE an American that is, Chang.

reply

[deleted]

Stfu commie gayboy, take the schlong out of your mouth and apologise for being retarded.

reply

A cure for cancer is impossible… so you’re saying Trump is god?

reply

Are you telling me Putin was lying about the vaccine?

reply

Trump gave us the Covid vaccines.
Aren’t you delighted?

reply

A wall can protect Biden while he at home. Trump would stay home too; not go to the Super Bowl to only watch part of the game.

reply

Hey idiot, did you forget that he didn't accept a salary during his 1st term or this 2nd term.

reply

The president is required to accept a salary, it is the law. Trump claims to have donated his salary, but there is no evidence, that I am aware of, that he did donate it.

Is it really asking too much that you know just a little bit about the US Constitution? https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artII-S1-C7-1/ALDE_00000233/

reply

Is it really asking too much that you get a brain? He donated his entire salary.

reply

Could you show us evidence of that or are we just supposed to trust you?

reply

www.google.com

reply

your links broken it just goes to google :p

reply

There you go again demanding evidence while never providing any yourself lol, gaslighting communist cunt. All you do is deny and spin, you're an enemy.

reply

I provided a link to the law that specifies that the president is paid. It should not be so hard for you to understand.

Why does a link to the constitution gaslight you?

reply

Is your name Jinx? Why are you speaking for someone else? Go away.

reply

well , the factcheckers say "nobody knows" , as tax return shows donation amounts but not source if the money

however
Trump reported nearly $2 million in charitable donations in 2017 and a little over $500,000 in charitable donations in both 2018 and 2019, according to his tax returns and the report. He didn't report any charitable contributions in 2020.

^ thats more than his salary

reply

The factcheckers told me you suck on fat dongs on the reg

reply

Exactly right. He claimed his salary was in the donations when in fact he typically uses more than that for tax deductions.

reply

It is reported: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2020/07/11/fact-check-donald-trump-donates-salary-but-he-still-makes-money/5410134002/

reply

Yes, it is reported. But is it true? Trump claimed prior to his first election that he would release his tax returns as is common with other elected presidents. He has yet to do so even though this is the best way he can prove his claim that he donated his salary.

If I use those same media sources to show that Trump lied about "this or that", then I'm told I have TDS. If I use any media source to support a claim about Biden that is not bad, then I'm told that I'm an idiot.

Why the double standard?

reply

I think so, because USA today is considered left leaning: https://www.allsides.com/news-source/usa-today-media-bias

And that article is clearly not praising Trump, more against him, and given very detailed records of each donations, and their sources, and there are official confirmations those donations being received by white house.

There are ways to identify fake news, there are red flags to look for, by looking for facts instead of opinions, but the article appears to be detailed and well sourced.

And if they were not received I bet CNN and MSNBC would have reported such frauds during Biden administration, during the election season, when Biden would have been happily giving them access to official records.

reply

I clicked on some of those links. They best they can do is empty links to the White House website and an unverified image on Twitter?

I would call that the opposite of "very well detailed". In fact, those are the red flags you should be looking for.

I have seen CNN articles on claims that Trump donated his salaries. But they did not provide anything more than links to claims that it happened. In other words, it changes nothing about how many people just assume Trump is lying whenever he opens his mouth, until proven otherwise. I feel this way about all politicians.

reply

Like I said, if the donations were not received, CNN and MSNBC would have reported it.

You don't think they would have missed something that obvious, do you? During the election season? When Biden administration would have given them access to official records.

reply

That is not the same as proving that Trump actually donated money. It is up to Trump (and his supporters if they claim he did) to prove that he donated the money, not for Biden to prove he did not.

reply

I wonder when you were quoting obvious fake news against Trump, did you subject them to such high level of scrutiny?

Why the double standard?

Right back at you.

reply

What "obvious fake news" are you talking about?

The memes I post? If they are satire I label them as such. Sometimes I make mistakes and am more than happy to correct them.

Are you one of those who declares that Trump's anti-gun agenda is fake news?

reply

Are you one of those who declares that Trump's anti-gun agenda is fake news?

That is one subject I don't talk about, the gun control, not with Americans anyway. That is one of the reasons I think Americans are so brainwashed.

reply

Brainwashed? Why?

Are you American? Do you think Trump is an anti-gun zealot?

reply

I am Australian, and I believe John Howard's gun control policy was one of the best things happened to Australia.

reply

That USAtoday article is perfect example how the media lies and twists the facts. They rated the claim partly false because he still makes money through real estate and other business which has nothing to do with his presidential salary.

reply

All mass media are propaganda machines, all we can do is differentiating between facts, opinions and speculations, and try to verify the facts and piece together more deliberately omitted facts and information from other sources.

reply

According to Politifact, he donated his entire presidential salary: https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/trumpometer/promise/1341/take-no-salary/

Politifact is left leaning. It must have killed them to report this, but it's the truth.

reply

FYI: He did not donate the last six months of his salary from his first term after he was defeated in the election. Some experts say he kept it as "severance pay".

Also, there has been no indication he will be donating his salary this term. Some finance sites are wondering why he hasn't made a statement about it.

reply

He donated "All" of it including his last 6 months. And yes, he's doing the same during his 2nd term.

Stop listening to propaganda.

Hey idiot, did you forget that he didn't accept a salary during his 1st term or this 2nd term.

20 hours ago you were calling me an idiot because you did not know the law requires that the president accept a salary.

But suddenly you're all on board with the fact that Trump does accept a salary and donates it instead. Presidents have only been getting paid since 1789. What took you so long to catch up?

reply

Presidents who have donated their entire salary while in office include:

• John F. Kennedy: He donated his entire presidential salary to charity, as well as his congressional salary before becoming president.

• Herbert Hoover: He also donated his entire presidential salary to charitable causes, being one of the wealthiest individuals when he took office.

• Donald Trump: Trump has donated his quarterly salary to various government agencies, effectively donating his entire salary each year.

reply

I still want to know why you had to call me an idiot for claiming that Trump took a salary; donated or not. Are you the idiot now?

reply

If he gave it all away, then he didn’t accept it. Stop quibbling over verbiage and semantics.

You have nothing but lies and sophistry. That's why no one here takes a clown like you seriously.

reply

Trump had to accept a salary to be capable of giving that salary away. Why do the most simple things escape you?

I speak the truth and the best you can do in return is personal attacks and evasion.

reply

No, you speak lies using sophistry. Thanks for proving my point as usual.

reply

How am I being misleading? You're being evasive again. Do you, or do you not, think that the president is required to accept a salary?

Hey idiot, did you forget that he didn't accept a salary during his 1st term or this 2nd term.

[–] tvfan (14225) 3 hours ago
He donated "All" of it including his last 6 months. And yes, he's doing the same during his 2nd term.

You're the one changing their story. I'm being consistent and supporting my claims with links to the law.

reply

He didn't accept it since he gave it all away. How difficult is that for you to understand?

reply

If Trump did not accept the salary then he would have no salary to give away. What part of that did you not understand?

reply

And yet, he didn't keep any of it because he gave it all away; therefore, he didn't accept it.

reply

Where is the proof that he gave it all away?

reply

Where is the proof that you're not an imbecile?

reply

The proof is that apparently I require evidence to believe something and you don't

reply

Did you know that evidence can be faked, manufactured and manipulated? ... Let me guess, you need proof of that too.

It's no surprise that you're so brainwashed.

reply

And yet, you need no proof of anything, how would you NOT be brainwashed?

reply

Relying solely on “the evidence” provided by others is "brainwashing" if/when you don’t apply the following:

- Critical and independent thinking
- Connecting the dots
- Deductive reasoning
- Common sense
- Gut feeling
- Intuition

reply

You still need evidence. This is the most ignorant conversation I've ever had. Asking for evidence is the first step, I didn't say it was the only thing you needed and you are fully aware of that.

reply

If the dots don't connect then the evidence is useless since evidence can be faked, manufactured and manipulated.

reply

Do you listen to yourself?

reply

Do you ever use common sense?

reply

It's at the same place you keep all of your proof, cunt :)

reply

According to Politifact, he donated his entire presidential salary: https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/trumpometer/promise/1341/take-no-salary/

Politifact is left leaning. It must have killed them to report this, but it's the truth.

reply

Source?

reply

2020:
- There are some uncertainties about the donations for the third and fourth quarters. Public announcements stopped, and it's unclear if any donations were made or where they went. For example, the last publicly known donation was in July 2020 to the NPS for monument repairs.

reply

Melania was nowhere to be seen. She was packed and on her way to anywhere but with her vile, attention-addicted husband.

reply

Trump has some screws loose without a doubt.

reply

Source?

reply

What about that spin Trump took on the Daytona 500 track? That also cost taxpayer dollars for him to fly in the 747 and pay for his security. Just think about how many jobs that may have paid for as Trump and Musk fire people left and right in our government. Pitiful.

reply

President Trump has been working very hard to undo the damage that those two fuckers Brandon and Kamala inflicted upon us. He deserves a chance to have fun every now and then. Get over your TDS you crybaby.

reply

Yes, he deserves some fun, but not at that much taxpayer expense. No one does.

reply

He gave back his pay for being President. GTFO it. Obama wasted our tax dollars on an overly extravagant inauguration ceremony when the son of a bitch ran on saving us from the depression that Bush allegedly created. You’re being negative and you’re being divisive. Stay in your lane.

reply

Donating $400,000 salary for four years does not even begin to cover Trump's viewing of half of the Super Bowl. Your math skills suck.

"Stay in your lane" has got to be one of the most un-American expressions I've ever heard. The Colonists did not break free from England by staying in their lane.

"Stay in your lane" is what slave overs says to slaves. You might be happy and feel safe being a slave, KingBob, but I and most other Americans do not.

reply

It completely debunks your entire premise you crybaby. You people drove the country into the ditch , the least you can do is sit down and shut the fuck up while Trump pulls it out.

And did you seriously just compare yourself to a slave? Get over your victim complex, it’s pathetic

reply

So Trump pulled us out the first time by driving up the national debt? How is he going to do it this time? Oh, that's right, he is going to further increase our debt. Surely you understand that this puts us further into the ditch? https://apnews.com/article/house-republicans-budget-blueprint-trump-tax-cuts-ff2bddf31f4e7cb0928139072392a091

Why do the wealthy deserve such extreme measures to get them their tax cuts?

You think you're the slave owner. I'm never the slave, but you keep on telling yourself that Americans are slaves.

reply

You literally just compared yourself to a slave. You’re a sick POS. You people and your persecution complex.

And ummmmm are you retarded or something? Have you not noticed the excessive amount of liberal waste, fraud and abuse the DOGE has uncovered. First of all Trump is not “driving up the national debt” and even if he was you people would have no room to complain about after the disastrous past 4 years you put us through.

reply

I said I'm never the slave. It is like I said 2+2=4, but you go on to claim I said it equals five. WTF is wrong with your reading comprehension?

Did you notice that DOGE is making claims and producing zero evidence? Why be so gullible?

reply

I said you compared yourself to a slave and you damn well did. Right here: "Stay in your lane" is what slave overs says to slaves.

Your second paragraph seems like a conspiracy theory to me and I’m not entertaining it. Your hatred for this man is beyond absurd and disturbing. You need to find a more healthy outlet for your TDS you loser.

reply

It's not corruption.

It's not corruption for a president to make appearances, take vacations, etc.

It is corruption to fund Trans Opera in Columbia and so on because it's not democratic. If you put that to a mass vote it would lose. If you had a vote about the president attending the superbowl it would win.

reply

I did not claim it was corruption. I said it was a waste of taxpayer money.

If the presidential election was put to a mass (popular) vote instead of an electoral vote, then Clinton would have been president in 2016, not Trump.

reply

Trump would have rethought his campaign strategy and many California Republicans would have gone out and voted.

Moron.
