Trump doesn't like sermon, calls Bishop nasty

Yes it would be best if he ignored this one and not have a Rosie O’Donnell moment!

What are Trump's good qualities? His gun grab? His felony convictions? His claimed sexual assault entitlement? His decisions to let Clinton and BLM/antifa slide instead of bringing them to justice? His mockery of the 1st Amendment as displayed in his reaction to the sermon? Standing by as one of his GOP ass lickers decided that the Bishop should be deported even though she is natural born?

The MAGA think these examples are clearly Trump at his best. What do you think? All of the above has been documented well. Will you deny these events took place?

But your lips live between Trump's ass cheeks at the cost of your dignity. How does that taste? Seeing as how the MAGA have proved since 2016 that they like eating Trump's sh*t, you're probably asking for more ass kissing time.

I don't know where you're from, but politicians and political parties typically do not choose church leaders nor do they control what they say; freedom of speech and all of that stuff.

Bishop Budde just gave a sermon at her church, the Washington National Cathedral. Trump happened to be there as is usual for new presidents after the inauguration, since 1985.

Here is the part of the sermon that triggered Trump so much. Why he was not greatly embarrassed by his reaction to such a benign sermon is beyond me.

"Let me make one final plea, Mr. President, millions have put their trust in you, and as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God," Budde said. "In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country. We're scared now. There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican and independent families, some who fear for their lives and the people, the people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants, and work the night shifts in hospitals. I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away, and that you help those who are fleeing war zones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and welcome here."

Why is it inappropriate? Church leaders enjoy the same freedom of religion and speech that you do in the USA. Do you live in the USA?

There are supposed to be limits to political activities if a church wants to remain tax exempt, but other than that, they can say as they please. What other commie ideas do you have?

That is what I said in my post too. You just don’t single out one person and lecture to them in a church filled with people.

I have heard priests give many homilies over the years. Many are often based on the Gospel reading that day. But the priest never addresses one person by name who was especially in need of that particular lesson!

That church is not going to get rid of a bishop that preaches the word of Christ. In the USA, churches are normally not following orders of politicians

The big divide is that the bishop is a christian that worships Jesus. She does not worship Republican Jesus. :) The GOP evangelicals cannot understand why the bible promotes mercy, forgiveness and empathy. But Republican Jesus says mercy is for the weak, as if he was the sensei of the Cobra Kai dojo. :)
