Former President Donald Trump gave new meaning Wednesday to the old adage: one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. A day after President Biden insinuated that Mr. Trump’s supporters were human “garbage,” Mr. Trump walked off his airplane here in this midwestern battleground state sporting a garbage worker’s vest. He then climbed into a garbage truck with “Make America Great Again” emblazoned on its side.
“How do you like my garbage truck?” Mr. Trump asked reporters on the airport tarmac from the passenger seat. “This truck is in honor of Kamala [Harris] and Joe Biden.”
“This week, Kamala has been comparing her political opponents to the most evil mass murders in history, and now, speaking on a call with her campaign last night, crooked Joe Biden said what he and Kamala really think of our supporters, he called them garbage.” Mr. Trump defended his supporters, saying they “are far higher quality than crooked Crooked Joe or Lying Kamala.”
“My response to Joe and Kamala is very simple: You can’t lead America if you don’t love Americans,” he said. “You can’t be president if you hate the American people, which I believe they do.” The blowback is reminiscent of 2016 when Hillary Clinton disparaged Trump supporters as “deplorables,” which became a rallying cry for them.

shareThere were people who were trying to make a big deal out of him doing what I've seen everyone do at least once before they're twenty. It wasn't "so badly." And he didn't talk about stumbling for 20 minutes. He said the truck was really high, but he had "the adrenaline going" and made it. Most of the twenty minutes was marveling that his team got the truck ready so fast, and telling self-deprecating jokes about how they got him to wear the safety vest: "They told me it looked slimming on me. Slimming? That did it!"
Of course, this is really funny coming from the same side that was making excuses for Biden who fell three times going up the stairs to Air Force One, fell off a bicycle, and tried to shake hands with thin air. Biden was so much better than Trump then, remember? Then all y'all turned on a dime, kicked him to the curb, and gushed over Kamala.
But while we're talking about little slips, Kamala didn't even know -- when there were boom mics and cameras everywhere -- that she was going to be overheard when she let the cat out of the bag about her campaign and male voters. She doesn't seem very safe with secrets around Moose and Skvirrel if she can't tell not to blurt stuff out in front of boom mics.
