Donald Trump is a bad influence on young people
He teaches them that you don't have to suffer the consequences of your actions amd bad decision making.
shareHe teaches them that you don't have to suffer the consequences of your actions amd bad decision making.
share**yawn**
shareYou choose Biden and pretended he was all there. This disaster is one of your own making.
shareI don't choose Biden as he is not up to the task of dog catcher at this point. Sorry, Joe but that is the truth.
Trump is anther story all together. He is scary as hell with what he wants for this country. I can't back either one of these men. I'll be writing in a name on my ballot and it will not be Biden or Trump.
You mean a secure border and better trade policy? Those were his big issues that drove your lefties into hysteria.
Or are you talking of the made up panic mongering since then?
When Trump won in 2016 the White House, House and Senate were controlled by the Republicans for 2 years. Why didn't Trump do anything then to secure the border? What are the Republicans doing now to secure the border?
shareEverything I heard during the time, was that the border was MORE secure, adn that the flow of illegals had lessened dramatically.
I was hearing about farmers whining that they couldn't find illegals to pick their crops for them.
So.... sure, it's not like he completely fixed a generational problem in two years, but he did a good job.
You mean a secure border and better trade policy? Those were his big issues that drove your lefties into hysteria.
Why?
shareTo see if you know what you're talking about or just repeating Donald Trump's claims that his foreign policies were successful and influential.
shareYeah, see the thing is, I was talking about how libs got upset during the campaign when it was just Trump and Hillary making campaign promises.
Instead of discussing what I was discussing, you now are not demanding proof that he made those promises but that he successfully implemented them, and with such strong results that you would be forced to ADMIT that they worked.
This action of yours ignores a whole host of possibilities such as he was lying, he failed to get the policies implemented, he implemented them but they didn't work or he implemented them and they worked but the effect was muted enough that you could deny it or give the credit to something else.
My point was about the reaction of libs to him BEFORE he was in office, because it was completely set in stone long before he did one policy action.
IMO, it makes more sense to look at that time period in isolation. Because that is where we can find the REAL reasons that lefties hate him.
Looking at policy is generally very subjective AND lefties are notoriously dishonest, with all due respect tina.
So, getting any anti-Trumper to admit to a policy SUCCESS by Trump, I don't think I have EVER seen that action taken in good faith, or seriously.
My point stands. THe lefties heard him talking about securing the border and fighting for the US in trade and that drove them into a hissy fit.
That reflects on THEM.

Ok, so lets get into it.
You say that Trump's border policies were not "practical".
And of course, you say, "racism" as though that means shit today. That horse is a bit dead tina. Time to stop beating it.
Tina, let me ask you, do you think that as Americans, do we have a RIGHT to have an immigration policy that serves our interests VERSU those of say, Mexicans?
"Biden secured the border" - 😂🤣 That was a good one...
shareVoting against Trump equates to choosing whomever else is selected.
shareYoung people who are intelligent and paying attention are learning that a corrupt politician can eliminate his opponent by bogging him down in endless court cases based on specious charges.
shareThis. Even the lesser dummies are realizing how wrong this is regardless of which side Trump was on.
shareYoung people who are intelligent will also fact check Trumps 30,000 lies
shareHe broke 34 laws. If he wasn't guilty then that's what the verdict would have resulted. A court of law convicted Trump not a group of politicians that convicted Trump. Duh!
shareNot the way I see it . ( and i hate Trump)
1) its extremely dubious what the actual crime was.
2) it was bumped up to felony just for him.
3) they multiplied it x34 not because "He broke 34 laws" , but because he paid a guy some money back in 34 installments.
It doesn't matter how you see it. Facts are facts.
shareGood
shareI agree, but also look at how he acts, attacking people, cussing casually in public, just general behavior. He's not only a bad influence on kids, but also on adults who are more susceptible. As a former Republican, I'm ashamed of the party these days.
share"More susceptible"? What do you mean by that?
shareI think bek means people like you Corbell. You believe almost anything Trump says without question and oppose those who claim Trump is wrong.
shareI think that that is not nearly as stupid as what he means. I mean, what you said was stupid, and not true, but I think that he was hinting at something like "stupid poor whites", you know, stupid with a sprinkling of classism and racism.
Corbell got it mostly right. Those people who believe Trump without question. I have no idea how you read classism and racism in my statement, because that's certainly not in anything I said.
shareWhat do you mean "Believe Trump without question"?
Like when you said that, what claim of Trump's were you thinking of? What people did you envision in your mind?
If you're just looking for ammo to shoot holes in my beliefs, I'm not going to give it to you. His behavior is unpresidential. Period. It's not even civil. And he does lie often. The lies are well-documented. Just pick one if you're looking for one to think about.
shareWell, you insulted me and I would like a chance to defend myself.
Here is something for you to consider. EVERYTIME you insult me, you tell me that you are hostile to me and mine.
So, don't be surprised when I support the other side of you.
When did I insult you? I don't even know you. I'm certainly not hostile to you in any way. If I were you, I would think about your statement that you want to "defend yourself" and whether that should mean attacking someone else's opinion. I don't believe they have to be the same.
shareYou're talking shit on trump supporters. In a public forum.
You shouldn't be suprised if someone wants to express disagreement with your negative veiw of Trump supporters, ie us.
@bek........ I'm still a Republican and I'm ashamed of what this party has become with the MAGA outlanders in the mix. Back in 2015, my husband warned me that Trump would "ruin the Republican party". Those were his words and I did not think that was possible. I still cast my vote for Trump in 2016. Now I want my vote back! OMG, how right my husband was. In fact, my husband says to this day that he honestly did not think Trump could do as much damage to the party as he actually has. Hubby jokes all the time that we are moving to New Zealand. I know he is joking but the sentiment doesn't change. Trump has made a mess of the Republican party and it is going to be a long time to rectify it.
shareI agree, and I am also a former Republican. The old Republican party has some principles that this country needs. The Trump principles... not so much.
