Reasons you shouldn't vote for Trump next year
Got any?
shareThere are better candidates.
shareI don't disagree, but I'm curious who you think are.
shareGovernor Youngkin (Virginia): Weaknesses: It's not clear the model he won on can be replicated nationally and in a presidential-election year. He was able to do what he did in Biden's first year as president, and traditionally, the candidate of the opposite party as the president has an advantage in Virginia gubernatorial races. He's also not well known nationally, and the scrutiny of his business and financial dealings would be intense.
Chris Sununu: Weaknesses: He's not very well known nationally, and he is out of step with a large portion of the GOP base with his socially moderate views. Sununu is largely in favor of abortion rights but supports restrictions later in pregnancies. Yet he has said: "I've done more on the pro-life issue, if you will, than [any other New Hampshire governor]," touting New Hampshire's 24-week ban. Sununu has tried to walk a line on immigration, saying that this is a "country of immigrants," but he has also endorsed DeSantis' migrant flights: "Anything we can do to bring national awareness to it has to be done," he said, noting that he didn't want the migrants sent to New Hampshire, though.
Liz Cheney: Weaknesses: Her intense opposition to Trump, despite her conservative policy bona fides, makes it difficult to see how she could gain enough support to win the GOP nomination. And with the Republican National Committee mandating that candidates pledge to back whoever wins the nomination, in order to participate in its debates, she may never be seen in one.
I'd consider voting for Sununu or Youngkin. No Chance I'd vote for Liz.
shareAt this point. You’d have to be insane to support this maniac
shareThe main reason not to vote for him is the retaliation the establishment will unleash on the public. Think how awful they were in 2020. The revenge this time around will be a hundred times worse.
shareI feel hopeless for a lot of different reasons. The establishment is threatening to jail a Presidential candidate who actually cares about the greater good of our country and its people. At the same time if Donald Trump somehow won again the hell they would unleash in terms of civil unrest and political violence towards the people that voted for Trump would bring America to the brink of collapse. Last election I relapsed with my depression and anxiety issues and I fear for the worst again if Joe Biden were to cheat his way to victory again.
shareSorry to hear about your depression. 2020 was brutal. I can't even imagine what the 'next level' is.
shareI'm fine and it was a bunch of other issues at the time as well. I go through this feeling almost every election cycle now where I really think about what I would have to do if political violence came to my doorstep.
shareI'm sure all the candidates care about "the greater good of our country and its people."
Even Donald.
Thing is he's a terminally vain lying moron and an embarrassment to your country - so why not have someone else waving the flag?
James Woods maybe? I hear he's very conservative.
This country NEEDS to collapse. People need to see what real problems could be. I think WW3 would be a welcomed reality. It’d at least wake people up for real so all these piddly nonsensical “issues” would disappear and we could go back to normal after the war.
Trump?
shareThere are better younger candidates that are not anti-gun zealots like Trump. I'd rather not have a candidate for president that is so proudly rapey like Trump. We need someone who is responsible and pays their debts instead of stiffing people every chance they get. Someone who spend more time doing the presidents job instead of playing so much golf while the Secret Service spends millions of dollars for his overpriced hotel rooms while he cheats.
shareKennedy is the better Republican choice.
shareNo-one would elect a guy with such a raspy voice, he'd be a joke around the world in no time.
What about all that talk about EEO and diversity though?
Biden’s multiple bouts of aphasia during speeches are worse because at least RFK acknowledges his condition
shareYou pick on Biden, yet your own Mitch McConnell is even worse, he just flat out FREEZES during mid-speech!
He’s not my Mitch McConnell and I think he’s completely incompetent and should have immediately resigned based on what I saw. But I predict you will not admit the same about Biden or Feinstein. America is an embarrassment with these pale 80 and 90 year old apparitions with young assistants whispering instruction in their ears. It’s pathetic watching a hunched over Biden with his gold leaf commander-in-chief baseball cap and his Parkinson’s gait shuffling across the stage
shareMcConnell is TOO OLD.
Biden is TOO OLD.
Feinstein is TOO OLD.
Trump is TOO OLD.
Why don't these parties give their younger members a chance, eh? At least they're more likely to make sensible decisions more in line with the young of today instead of toadying up to a dying generation, EH?
I agree AMJF. It’s all about power and wealth in America because we have no term limits and our leaders lack humility and a sense of duty to the people. It’s shameful and depressing. And I apologize if I sounded like a jerk above. I’m just very frustrated
shareMcConnell is TOO OLD.
Biden is TOO OLD.
Feinstein is TOO OLD.
Trump is TOO OLD.
I agree too. I wanted someone younger to clinch the nomination for the Republican party, but they are definitely going to go with Trump.
shareI pray you’re wrong. America has always seemed to come up with a providential President in the darkest hours. I am seriously praying that’s the case in 2024
shareHe might decide to pull a Hitler and completely dismantle the democratic voting process once he gets to the White House again.
Oh sorry, did I say "might"? No, he WILL.
Sure. Just like the first time around he was going to start a nuclear war.
shareMy theory (call it conspiracy if you like) is that Trump was seeing what it was like to be in power and have so much influence and what he could do, and then he would make these changes when he became President for a second term. But he was thwarted, and he and his moronic minions cried out "stolen election". Why do you think he's been so persistent at that claim for so long? He's dying to get back in! And he SHOULDN'T.
Yeah, it’s fine to have a theory.
However, what is your evidence to back it up? All theories have to stem from some body of facts.
Are you kidding me?
NO ONE would ever allow that to happen.
You want the war in Ukraine to escalate.
You want a war with China to develop over Taiwan.
You want a war with Iran over, well, anything.
You want cocaine to be legal in the White House.

Wow
How about if they don’t win it’s because they were bad candidates that most Americans didn’t like and vote for?
Then those of age should be ready to get drafted and not bitch and moan should it happen.
Maybe there could be a law that states those who voted for Biden get drafted before those that voted for his opponents.
Sound fair?
