Was the COVID pandemic an attack on Donald Trump to prevent him from getting re-elected?
That's what some of my Trump supporting buddies seem to think.

Democrats did nothing until the end of March. Trump formed the corona virus task force in December of 2019. Banned flights from China in Jan 2020. In March Democrats were calling him xenophobic and telling people to March in Chinese New Year parades.
Democrats didn’t talk about corona virus at all in their debates.
Democrats told people it would be 2 to 3 years for a vaccine. Thanks to Trump fast tracking regulations there were multiple vaccines by fall.
Besides hate and blame, and rioting from June to December; what leadership did Democrats provide? Hint the answer rhymes with none. Which is the usual we get from them.
Democrats did nothing until the end of March? What do you mean? Democrats were not in charge, Trump was and he completely downplayed the virus. He said over and over again that it was nothing and it was going to just go away.
He said that there was no plan for a pandemic response when one had been set up for us in the previous administration, he ignored it because he hated Obama and said it didn't exist and that the virus was no big deal.
Democrats ran congress and several states and did absolutely nothing.

This is the reason Trump lost my vote in the 2020 election. I did vote for him in 2016 but soon realized he was a boob with the way he handled the pandemic. Foolish, foolish man.

This is why Trump lost my vote in 2020 when I did support him and voted for him in 2016. Trump did everything wrong regarding the pandemic with the exception of fast tracking the Covid vaccines. I will never ever forget that defiant look on his face when he ripped off his mask on the White House steps when he was discharged from the hospital after being treated for Covid. He was disgusting then and is so much worse now.

Then the media spun it into some dangerous deadly thing to scare everyone to stay home, consolidate all the power that happened during the lockdowns, and to rig an election with mail in ballots appearing in the middle of the night, counted with no observers (illegal) during 4 am!
It's really no different than Bush using 9/11 as an excuse to invade Iraq, loot the place of the wealth it stole from Kuwait, position a new organization to rebuild the place and let the profits all go to Cheney and his buddies. This is nothing new. Continues to happen and can't be stopped unless something like Jan 6th happens, but an actual uprising, not a protest. The people in charge have too much power and control, with no checks in place because they control the checks. They can change or ignore them. Democracy is over. It's dead. It's a failure. It started eroding as soon as "civil rights" allowed morons to vote.
I doubt the initial release of the virus was intended to hurt his re-election campaign. If it was not simply and accidental release then it was more likely intended to be used against Hong Kong by the government, but most likely it was an accident as there was no value in dropping it in Wuhan.
Now while the release wasn't intended to hurt Trump, the media and the DNC saw the opportunity to use it against him which they did very effectively. Then again if there was a drought in Australia killing Kangaroos the media would have tried to use it against Trump.
