The process of removing a President is thus - Articles of Impeachment are taken up by the House of Representatives. They vote on whether this article passes. If this does so, the President HAS been Impeached by law. Now a decision on whether a punishment should happen must be taken i.e. the guilty party has to be convicted or not is decided. This is done in the Senate. If the Senate chooses to do so with a 2/3rd majority i.e. 67 out of 100 Senators, then the President has been convicted and a punishment is decided.
In the case of Trump - he has been Impeached TWICE. However, in both instances, the Senate did not get the 67 votes needed to convict so the punishment was not issued. This leaves Trump having been twice impeached.
This is basic stuff dude that kids who paid attention in school know.
