Not sure how he got so far then. I guess money really does feed money. No one on the bottom climbing up to the top would get away with that. Its like he never emotionally grew pased to 4th grade. He projects his emotions on to others and accuse them of being the very things he is. So that leaves me to wonder if he feels he's a looser and can be manipulated by people that have learned to feed his ego. I'm suprised people arn't taking advantage of this more to get their agenda's passed, like russia and china.

His father left him millions and had connections.

Putin is taking plenty of advantage. He probably has something on Trump which can send him and his relatives to prison which is why he's afraid of Putin. The 31 page indictment for Gates and Manafort had money laundering and tax evasion. Trump probably did things illegally during the course of business in Russia.

Most conservatives didn't want trump. We had our own candidates but the goliath with all the media coverage stole the GOP primary. he was 1 of 17 candidates that some how got 1/3rd of the spotlight.

Actually I liked Dr. Ben Carson. But being a realist, I knew that someone who was a soft spoken academic, even though brilliant in his field, would have NO chance against a dirty street fighter like Hillary. That would be tantamount to putting a guppy in a shark tank.

Trump got all that media spotlight because while most of the other candidates were struggling with the usual political blah, blah, blah, bullsh@t, he was laying it on the line.

I honestly never thought he'd go that far. Several reports came out that concluded that trump got 1/3 of the spot light. The GOP primaries and the media combine allowed trump to sabotage the GOP elections. Perhaps the GOP will change the rules to prevent so many micro candidates to divide the GOP base from stronger candidates or at least prevvent the media from focusing on a celebrity therby allowing them to steal the primaries.

You understand exactly what happened then. Trump ran as a joke but the media focused on him allowing him to slowly erode the other candidates when he wasn't intending to win. The public went for him because they had no choice their prefered candidates parished till trump was the only one left. They were obama fatigued and coulden't vote for the devil so they backed the cry baby during the general election. Who was your candiate during the primaries chances are 2 out of 3 it wasn't trump feel free to look at the numbe. Trump never had 50% of the GOP till the very end when all the other "sisies" dropped out. Thus the statement that most republicans didn't want trump is true. Those sisisies at the beginning focused on taking each other out since it was easier going after other micro candidates then going after the fat cry baby. Hell trump actually skipped debates while the micro candidates destryoed them selves going after each other while the media propted up trump expecting him to be an easy kill should he make it to the general election.

You seem to agree with me on how the election played out so its not my concern if you disagree with my choice of words "stole the election".

Yes, I guess we agree on "how the election played out." I have actually disliked for many years the way the campaign seasons are. Too long, too many candidates, too much silly "debating" and blathering back and forth, too many ads, too many commercials, etc,

Even though I usually vote for the Republican, this time I got a kick out of the fact that the Republican party got a kick in the a@@ by an interloper! The party had no real viable candidate to take on the Hillary machine, so Trump swooped in and took over.

Yes, the "micro candidates destroyed themselves". So much silly arguing and attacking each other while Trump played the media like a fiddle. They hung on his every word, er, tweet. They thought he was a joke and they did their best to make of fool of him. They thought he was so pathetic as a candidate that they gave him tons of air time since in comparison to their gal Hillary, he was sure to lose.

He fooled everybody. It's dangerous to take on an egocentric billionaire. lol I can't help but love the way the left wing media has been in a state of mourning for the last year while Trump sails along. They keep trying to destroy him but they haven't been able to lay a glove on him.

Well, as I said in my earlier post, I liked Dr. Ben Carson for his intelligence. But I thought he was so soft spoken and just not tough enough to go the distance with Hillary. Washington is its own world and those folks play hardball. He was a brain surgeon going against people who don't rely on brains, just sneakiness and cunning (and a lot of donor money).

I did like Marco Rubio, but he just seemed too young. I thought he'd be better as the VP on the ticket while taking some time to mature.

I liked ben carson too. I didn't like his response about our forein enemies acting like he woulden't have gone to war after 9/11. For me it was ben carson or ted cruz (with ben carson winning if it was down to just them two). But carson exaperated too fast. He got angry and focused his campain against ted cruz instead of focusing on the real threat Trump. Like I said before the republicans made a mistake in trying to take each other out instead of aligning against trump early on. Its a prisoneres dilimma were they gambled that it woulden't be worth pooling resource as it only takes one of them to break ranks and erode the rest of the candidates. I think ben carson was angry about robot calls (I'm not sure but they probably came from cruizes campaighn) claiming he dropped out of the election. Only for him to do just that a week or so later after Florida's primary. I also think it was unwise for him to endorese donald trump out of anger for ted cruiz. Too many canidates legitimized donald trump. Its like I wonder if trump offered to pay out their campain debt or something. I woulden't put it past hime. Did you noticed the weesal chris christy was like the first to endorese trump. He's historicly been on the take before so I have my suspicions. Ben carson seemed to have run out of campaighn money early on though which is unfortunate. He was the most likeable candidate.

If this was about kicking out the establishment I could see bush from florida getting dropped fast but a lot of good canidates that were new to the party got wasted as well. I think ben carson was one of them. I actually want an educated man in the white house who doesn't follow machiavellian politics and ben carson looked like the main one featuring that trait.

I just find a lot of oddity in this whole situation, a lot of it is my reaction to Trump!

When he rose to prominence years ago in the media, I didn't have much of an opinion about him either way. I knew he was very rich, brash and outspoken, built casinos, etc. Never watched his reality show.
I never spent much time thinking about him but a lot of Hollywood did. Recently I've been watching old episodes of The Golden Girls and a few other sitcoms and I was surprised to see the number of times he was mentioned. He even had a few cameo roles on TV.

When Bush 43 was president, the media attacked him all the time and he never responded (at least not publicly). After a while, it was annoying. I wished he would have defended himself once in a while. Then came Obama and the media went overboard heaping praise and accolades on him.
It's mostly the one sided media which I am so sick to death of. Trump doesn't take it from them. It amuses me how easily he is able to play them.

The irony here is that the media goes apesh@t giving air time to every one of Trump's utterances. I have no twitter account. Just too old for all that stuff I guess. And I don't know anyone else who has a twitter account either. So I'd never even hear about any of these tweets if the media didn't go and make a big deal out of each one.

I don't use twitter eithr. Face book yes. These forums sure. but twitter is like what a hundred or so characters designed to be typed on smart phones. No thanks that seems like a lazy melinial tool. I agree presidents should have enough personality to show they can defend them selves from unfair criticism but not this name calling crap that trump keeps doing and not empty rheteric. I so tired of hearing "believe me I can tell you that" or the self defeating "I would tell you about [insert accusation against some one here] but I'm trying to be nice about it" or some other Apophasis. Its like it be cool if he had some good comebacks and compelling arguments against his enemies but he's just comes across as a cry baby whining about his critics. I just don't see the tough guy appeal his few supporters are projecting on him I see the opposite. He's a soft skinned man child that can be manipulated into looking like an ass. People can distract him from his own agenda by attacking him on twitter. The media loves the fact that they can infuriate him, they have leaks in the white house that tell about him screaming and cussing at the T.V. at night. You know CNN loves that.

Interesting points...I guess my problem is that I am getting too old for all this crap! By that I mean the political crap that comes out of Washington. I have very little affection and almost no respect for either party.

Take that last election year, sheesh!! The Republicans fielded a group of candidates who tore into each other and called each other names at every "debate" just like a schoolyard fight. Next time (2020) I have a feeling the Democrats will do the same. I heard it described as a "circular firing squad".

It drives me crazy that they attack each other, yet when one of them runs out of money, he throws his support to one of the candidates that he savaged the week before. Like you said about Chris Christie, the first to endorse Trump. The phoniness is mind boggling.

I hardly have any trust in any of them. So sometimes I don't think it matters who you vote for. Most of them are under the thumb of the rich fat cats who endorse them anyway. So they do what their donors want when they are elected.

The one difference about Trump is that he is his own "fat cat". He isn't beholden to anyone. Of course he is governed by a massive ego instead. Not sure that's any better!

I mostly have developed a serious hatred for the media. They don't report news, they give their opinions. I just can't believe they are that collectively stupid enough to believe that Obama or Hillary REALLY had the country's best interests at heart.

Just a weird pleasure that I get when I see them going berserk at the idea of the Trump Presidency and still mourning the fact that their gal wasn't given a coronation. So few things to enjoy in this life, but for me, that's one of them!

I also enjoy that the media realizes they created this mess by focusing on what they thought was an unelectable republican while an unelectable democrat slipped through the ranks and poof it was too late. Trump was bound to loose but hillary equale the playing field a little bit in her favor then the james comey october suprise pulled trump over the edge. It was the perfect storm.
