RIP to Best of the Bad Guys

In real life, he was actually a really nice guy. He will be missed:

RIP. THE bad guy of 70s TV.

reply

Damn!! I liked Smith.

RIP

reply

I've caught him a couple of times over the last few weeks, once in The Rockford Files, and once in Columbo.

reply

But will he still be able to vote in 2024?

reply

Show some respect and keep your politics out of this.

The man just passed away and we fans would like to pay tribute to him.

reply

You're right. My apologies

reply

Another one of those indispensable actors who always made anything he was in a little better whenever he appeared onscreen.

reply

He was pimp-daddy cool. I like him a lot on the screen.

Loved him as Conan's father, and as the Russian hunting the Wolverines in Red Dawn.

reply

I always liked him in whatever I watched him in. Always a solid performance.

reply

The thing is he didn’t always play a bad guy. “Grave of the Vampire” he was “good” until the end & even then you just didn’t know. “Every Which Way You Can” it’s debatable to say he was a “bad guy” in that. Otherwise he was a pretty decent dude in that movie”. “Conan” he was Conan’s dad so no he wasn’t the heavy in that either. See? Easy.

reply

He was also the good guy in his appearance on Kolchak the Night Stalker.

reply

That’s the one time I remember him not playing the heavy.

reply

I just heard about his passing. He was one of the solid character actors of TV for several decades. I enjoyed watching his work. RIP
