I'm not even making this up!

I have just seen that I'm banned from TV Tropes for defending JK Rowling!
Seriously!
And I never even mentioned the word "transsexual" or said one word about transsexual people.
But I calmly expressed my support for JK Rowling and explained that everybody can't feel the same way.
But that is appearantly enough to trigger people, who do what they can to silence people and call us "bigots".
And yet, they are doing the hating.
Not me and not JK Rowling.
Yeah, I have known for a long time that the site had a notable pro-LBQT bias.
And I was even aware that some people on that site have a huge stick up their butts about some things.
But still, I believed that they were better than this.
How wrong I was...

reply

I don't hate anyone that is transgender but frankly I do pity them because they are obviously mentally ill. I hate how so many people act like it isn't a mental illness.

reply

I have a mild form of autism and if someone tells me it is a mental disorder I would get offended and hurt but I know that it is also true. I can live my life well enough regardless if I am mentally normal or not. So why is that such a problem for trans gender people? If I can admit I suffer from a mental illness why can't they? It doesn't mean you are unable to function it means you deviate from normal mental state.

reply

I too am mildly autistic and I agree with you completely.

reply

I see what you mean.
It is one thing to go against stereotypical male or female behavior a bit.
However, not wanting to be your biological sex at all can't be healthy.

reply

" everybody can't feel the same way" Not in the world of fascist progressives.

reply

Yeah, it is clearly impossible for some people to accept any opposition.

It’s truly great to see all of the people on this thread that have actual critical thinking skills. I’m 28 and it seems that 90% of my peers are insane, brainwashed left wing “tolerant” and “enlightened” fools. I hate how people claim to be inclusive, understanding and compassionate, except when you don’t 100% agree with them and CNN, then suddenly you are an intellectually inferior bigot, racist, fascist who’s opinions and facts are stupid and should be corrected. Free speech and freedom of expression only apply when you are in total agreement with them and help bolster their echo chamber of asinine ideas that demonstrate no understanding of history and what the real world is like. They sit in Starbucks claiming how terrible and evil the U.S., how oppressed certain groups of people are and that the U.S. is one of worst countries to live in. Meanwhile there is large scale terrible violence, slavery, people getting disappeared for speaking out against the government, sent to the black prisons for their religious beliefs, starvation/malnourishment, people suffering/dying from easily curable diseases/conditions, women having basically no rights, and extreme racism in many countries around the world. But yeah, the U.S. is really one of, if not the most evil and terrible places to live because there’s a republican president. It makes me sick how it’s now cool and “enlightened” to hate on America, capitalism, all police officers, and law and order.

reply

Indeed. It is weird how those people work.

reply

If you go to Starbucks then all these sweeping generalizations apply to you.
If you don't go to Starbucks then you are just parroting things you've heard.
The point is you are just as bad as all these supposed people you're complaining about.
You aren't making any attempt to address what you may see is the real problem.
Instead, you take the easy route and complain about people you don't like because apparently they don't like you, at least that's how you imagine it.
Idk, I keep seeing people demonize the other side without explaining their own viewpoint.
