The criticism he keeps getting is making me feel bad for him. First, BLM supporters gave him shit for an Instagram post where he honoured his brother who was a cop and called him racist for supporting police. Then people called him a homophobe because he was a member of a church that is allegedly anti-gay even though he has never made any homophobic comments. Now people are giving him shit for voicing Mario and he's not Italian. Give the guy a break.
He got a lot of shit online (well from Twitter wankers) for being a Christian. I mean traditional Christianity is 'homophobic' so the fact his particular church or denomination is anti-LGBT is neither here nor there. They're practising their faith correctly if that's the case. You don't see Muslim celebs getting hated on twitter because of their religion. When that religion and it's followers as a whole are much more fiercely anti-LGBT than Christians in the 'west'.
Pratt is an easy target because he's a heterosexual Christian White male who's successful and possibly leans 'conservative/republican'. He's also very vanilla, I mean he's very generic and inoffensive, seems like some people are desperately trying to drum up controversy around him and to make him something, anything, more interesting. They can't stand his plain and inoffensive nature.
The thing is, I don't recall him ever saying or doing anything controversial. I'm Catholic but I support gay marriage. My religion thinks it's a sin, but that doesn't mean I have to support that aspect of my religion. Pratt being part of that church doesn't mean he endorses everything they stand for.
He's a conservative, so it's just the same typical liberal assault. They are so weak, they see anyone who doesn't think like they do as threat. They lie, attack your character on baseless claims, and try to turn the public against you with propaganda. It's pathetic, and becomes more obvious every day.
