Greatest President or Greatest ever?

title

reply

Shit for Brains Biden? What has he done in his long tenure of 2 1/2 months to gain the title you speak of?

reply

Well before he was president he fought very hard to keep schools segregated, oh wait that’s a bad thing

reply

Off the top of my head...

- Gas prices are skyrocketing
- Locks kids in cages... er migrant facilities, yet the left and the media suddenly ignore it.
- Thousands of people lost their jobs due to cutting the pipeline
- US no longer energy independent
- North Korea is launching missiles again
- Middle East has been deprioritized and peace deals have stopped cold
- Taxes are rising rising rising

Best. President. Ever.

reply

Don't forget, mass-shootings are back in a BIG way, too!

reply

Forgot about that!

Oh, and Asians are getting attacked too.

reply

I honestly don't remember a lot of mass shootings in the U.S. during the last administration.

reply

Yes exactly. That about sums it up. Let's see what else he has in store for us. I shatter to think....

reply

The newest one is my favorite - he strongly supported MLB moving their all-star game out of Atlanta (calling what Georgia is doing Jim Crow for the 21st century), which caused MLB to move their all-star game to Denver, which actually has the same voter ID law in place, and is something like 85% white.

In essence, he caused a highly mixed county of democrats to lose roughly $100 million in revenue and bump it to a city that is majority white. Nice move, Joe! Way to stick it to 'Jim Crow' laws.

Way to go, Joe!

PS What an ass!

- Gas prices are skyrocketing.
Time is long overdue to switch to clean renewable energy.
- Locks kids in cages... er migrant facilities, yet the left and the media suddenly ignore it.
This has been going on for years.
- Thousands of people lost their jobs due to cutting the pipeline.
I assume you are referring to the Keystone pipeline? Time to bury that dead horse and create permanent jobs in the green energy sector.
- US no longer energy independent.
See previous comments above.
- North Korea is launching missiles again.
Again? They never stopped.
- Middle East has been deprioritized and peace deals have stopped cold.
The Middle East is a hopeless case. The U.S. has no business being involved in the affairs of countries half-way around the world. It just perpetuates the animosity.
- Taxes are rising rising rising.
You want amenities like highways, parks, schools, fire departments, police departments, Social Security, Medicare, etc. ? Then you need to pay taxes.

reply

- So raising gas prices is how you do that? You realize when you raise gas prices the cost of everything goes up because, you know, gas is used to transport everything you see? Your answer isn't rational - it's waving off the problem and trying to justify it by saying "good for the environment." You probably own a car, right? Here - you lead the way and toss your car away today. Why not - it's time to switch to clean, renewable energy, right?

- Again, you're answer is waving off the point by saying "it is what it is." Here, I'll spell it out for you - Biden's platform was Trump was locking kids in cages and he wouldn't do that. Now that he's president it's even worse and the media and AOC aren't showing up to scream about it.

- Where are these jobs you speak of? Do they come out of a magic hat? So people should lose their houses and starve while Joe whips up new ones? That's not going to happen. Oh yeah, they should 'learn to code.' If you trained and worked in that sector you'd be singing a different tune. It's always easy to soapbox when it doesn't pertain to you personally.

- For all the criticism he got, Trump actually met with Kim and, yes, cooled tensions while in office. Not more than a month after he leaves missiles are flying again.

- The Middle East is a hopeless cause? Holy. Cow. Trump left Biden a region that is waaaay more stable than it was four years ago and an alliance network. Naw, let's ignore it and see what happens.

- 35% of my paycheck goes to taxes. What's your point? I should pay more? How about those of you who think raising taxes is a good thing pay more? Do you realize we're trying to get out of a pandemic and this is the wrong time to ask people to pay more? Many people are unemployed, not paying rent, losing their businesses and you want everyone to pay MORE?

Your answers don't solve the problems or answer the questions I laid out - they are a hand waving things away saying, "it's for the best" or "it's always been a problem."

reply

"Here - you lead the way and toss your car away today."
Typical response. My next car will be a Tesla or some other electric model. Not that it's any of your business. I would have owned one of these years ago had they been available.

"The Middle East is a hopeless cause?"
Yes, it is. Conflicts have been going on there for centuries. What makes you think things are going to suddenly change?

"35% of my paycheck goes to taxes."
News flash... so does mine. Everyone should pay their fair share, and this includes the wealthy... no loopholes, no off-shore bank accounts, etc. It's funny (really it isn't) that those who squawk the loudest about paying taxes are those who can easily afford it. They don't want to pay taxes yet have no problem using our highways, schools, etc.

From your post it sounds like you were a Trump supporter, so I'm not going to waste time arguing with you. It would be fruitless. Oh... North Korea was still testing missiles even while your hero was "president."

BTW - I'm not a Biden supporter, either. I'm a moderate or centrist, not affiliated with any political party. Not that it's any of your business, either.

reply

You are absolutely NOT a moderate or centrist. That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day. 🤣

Yeah, that’s why you work hard and become successful, so the government can tax the shit out of you and steal your money just because you busted your ass to get a good job and you can afford it. Fuck that mentality, and everyone who thinks the world owes them something. Just because someone has more money than you doesn’t give you the right to take it just because they have it. That’s a complete horseshit philosophy.

These assholes won’t be happy until “Fair Share” is 90% of your income to social programs.

I’m lower middle class, and by no means rich. I just don’t believe in taking things that don’t belong to you. Our government is a joke. Our media is a joke. And all of you socialist assholes will be the death of our country.

reply

Laugh all you want.

If you want to eliminate taxes then how do you propose we fund our highways, bridges, police and fire departments, schools, libraries, parks, Social Security, Medicare...?

Taxes are what's called a necessary evil. Everyone should pay their fair share.

reply

I didn't hear him saying anything about eliminating taxes, but nice try.

reply

I don’t want to eliminate taxes. I’m happy to pay taxes for OUR roads/bridges, OUR police/fire, and hell, I’ll even through in K-12 education. We all use those services, and it wouldn’t suck everyone dry by paying taxes on these things.

However, I’m against paying for YOUR healthcare, YOUR college education, which should be YOUR responsibility, and I don’t give a shit about social security. I’m responsible enough to save for retirement. Social security has been exploited to death, much like the welfare and unemployment systems in this country. Much like universal healthcare would be exploited, much like damn near ANYTHING the government is involved in.

I’m also against taxing the living hell out of people just because they’ve earned a decent living. It’s legalized government theft, and it’s wrong. But the bitter and jealous people of the world who can’t handle someone who has more than they do, so they want them stripped of everything they’ve worked for under the guise of being “fair.” Well, that’s NOT fair. If you want something, go earn it! Jealousy is an horrible thing.

“Fair share” is very up for debate, and to people like you, it’s somehow fair for one person to pay nothing, and someone else to pay 90% of their income. Victim society is in full effect right now. Nobody owes you or anyone else anything. I’m not against helping people, but the amount of goddamn handouts anymore are beyond pathetic.

reply

I never said one person should get away with paying nothing. I said everyone pays their fair share. No loopholes.

I wouldn't deride Social Security. Some day you will need it, along with Medicare, to supplement any other retirement income you may have.

reply

We differ greatly on our definition of “fair share.”

No, I won’t need social security, because I’m very aware of how much I’ll have for retirement in 30 years or so, but it will be a nice bit of extra income if it hasn’t been bottomed out from the people exploiting it.

reply

BTW I'm no Trump supporter, so nice try. I am certainly not a Biden guy either.

Your irrational argument against mine is typical hypocrisy that I can't stand - I point out things and then you go to massive extremes (where did I say I don't want to pay taxes?) to try to shut down the argument. You even call me a Trumpist, then you say what affiliation you are isn't any of my business. If your political party isn't any of my business, then why are you (falsely) pointing out MINE? Also, where did I even point to your political affiliation??? You can't win an argument by waving a hand in the air.

You're cherry-picking your points, which is typical again. Let's hear your crazy point about the jobs that were taken away (**shrug** they can code), as well as how rising gas prices is causing prices everywhere to rise?

reply

You're the one who was praising Trump, then you say you are not a supporter. So I don't know where you stand, and to be honest, I don't care any more.

I have better things to do than waste time arguing with people like you.

Bye.

reply

You're the one praising Biden then saying you're not. You're a walking hypocrite who can't hold an argument.

See ya around, Johhny Boy.

reply

You keep going on about Green energy, look what happened in Texas with their wind energy. Froze up. They had to get helicopters to spray them down. Guess how much that did for the environment. And now that we are importing energy how much does that to the environment? Rail transport is a lot more wasteful than the pipeline. Gas is damn near $5 where I'm at good job Biden

Trump had 4 big peace deals going in the middle east. Biden fucked them up in 3 months

We are taxed enough and most goes to wasteful spending or "misplaced" or given to dem pet projects.

reply

Green energy is still a fairly recent innovation. Efficiency will improve as we refine the technology. That's why we need to get working on that technology now. Action, not talk.

We need to approach this with the same enthusiasm we put into the 1960s space program. If we can accomplish a Moon landing we should be able to tackle the energy and climate change problems.

reply

So then you admit the technology is not refined yet but you also say we need to switch now.

I'm not buying it. I've been told my whole life the next decade is the end of the world cause of global warming. I don't support a carbon tax either. Taxes of anyway sort always come down hardest on the poor and middle class.

How do you propose places that have cold temps and months of darkness switch to wind and solar? Won't work

reply

We need to begin the switch now. Just talking about it, or creating committees to "study the situation" accomplish nothing. The sooner we begin taking some action, the better.

"How do you propose places that have cold temps and months of darkness switch to wind and solar?"

Example: Solar energy produced in Arizona would be transferred to North Dakota via the grid, which currently needs to be upgraded.

reply

The grid couldn't handle Texas on 35% green energy

reply

That's why I said it needs to be upgraded. This would also create a lot of jobs.

reply

Yep!

Dear OP,

I think the term that you are searching for is:::::::::::::::

G. O. A. T.

Your Welcome.

reply

🐐

reply

most ridiculous

reply

Worst president in the history of the country, even worse than obama.

reply

that is pretty bad...

reply

Obama was bottom 10, so Biden being worst than him is pretty incredible.

reply

Could be.

reply

Lol nice troll post. He's a puppet president literally doing what socialist elites are commanding him to do. And he's terrible at even that. He can't string together a coherent sentence without looking like his dentures are about to fall out at any second.

reply

The U.S. is run by elites. Both major parties are funded by, and pander to, the corporations, the wealthy, paid professional lobbyists and $pecial intere$t groups. Elected officials do not represent the voters. The U.S. is a one-party oligarchy; the Almighty Dollar is its god.

Here's an article for anyone who thinks I'm just making this stuff up. It's from 2014 but is just as relevant today:
https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-echochambers-27074746

reply

Very true. I'm no big Trump fan but I think he was bucking this system and that's why they visciously threw everything at him to get him out

reply

He may have been bucking the system, but it was for his own personal gain and for that of his wealthy cronies. Someone with his personality type was not fit to run the country. We needed a leader, not a playground bully.

reply

You know you were ok when you were showing that the country is being run by corporate interests, and both political parties are comprimised, and then you start spouting the talking points that the career politicians and the msm put forward about Trump. Don't be dumb. Trump is an egotistical, rude man, but someone willing to buck the system is exactly what the country needs. I'll give you a BIG hint. If you have a talking point against Trump that was blasted constantly by the likes of CNN, then you've been played.

reply

I want someone who will buck the system. But I want someone who does this for the benefit of the middle class and working people.

I don't watch CNN.

reply

>I don't watch CNN.

You're sure regurgitating their talking points really well. Time to evaluate where you get your information from because it is also compromised.

reply

Here's the Media Bias Chart: I get my information from sites that are factual and neutral (those that fall within the center of the green rectangle - this chart is enlargeable). The one I watch most often is the BBC News. I avoid the U.S. cable/satellite "news" channels.

https://www.adfontesmedia.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Media-Bias-Chart_4.0_8_28_2018-min.jpg

I think you need to re-evaluate where you get your information from. This chart can help you avoid the fringe groups (red and orange areas).

reply

I won't assume your nationality but speaking as a Brit, the BBC is horribly woke and biased to the left; their support for remain campaign during Brexit was blatant, for example.

reply

According to the chart (link posted above), the BBC falls in the middle. Whenever I watch it the newsreaders and correspondents report strictly the facts. No inserted opinions or making faces if they don't agree with what they are reporting, like I've seen on the U.S. "news" channels.

I'm not sure what you mean by the BBC News being "woke" or left-leaning. I don't live in the U.K. so I'm not familiar with all the details or controversies of Brexit. I couldn't tell if they were for or against it.

reply

Remember that phrase, "Elect a clown, expect a circus?" Well, now the Dems have a real clown, the Greatest Clown ever put into the White House illegally, and he came with a full 3-ring circus, complete with freaks, animals, and trapeze artists. Even President Trump couldn't manage that.

reply

Sure why not! Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize for nothing.

So let's declare sleepy Joe who can barely speak a coherent sentence and whose disastrous policies won't have any impact on his life because he'll be dead from Alzheimer's soon and won't have any impact on his family because they are multi-millionaires thanks to his corruption the GREATEST PRESIDENT EVER!

LOL!
