No one can compare to Smokey. And he’s a great songwriter. For other Motown artists, as well The Miracles. My Guy sung by Mary Wells for one. I hated when Michael Jackson did one of his songs; Smokey’s was so much better. The Hunter Gets Captured by the Game is one of my favorites written by Smokey and sung by The Marvelettes. But it is the version by Ella Fitzgerald that I love the most.
