Damn. I remember his peak years as a Disney Channel darling

reply

Is it wrong to say that I wasn't shocked? The last few years he seemed very unhinged.

reply

Tragic but not surprising.

reply

I feel the same way.

reply

My immediate thoughts exactly.
Saw that coming years ago.

Kid was too fucked up by his parents and that industry... and his bad choices.

reply

When I saw his name here in the Trending - my first thought was: "Oh dear, he is dead isnt he?"

That would be the only reason for him to suddenly appear there.

reply

Don't let your kids go into show biz

reply

Yeah the whole family is all over the place. He had a sister who died at 25, his brother (who he doesn't even get along with) has been accused of rape and his parents apparently are insane.

reply

Would that be Nick Carter? Why would you say his parents are insane?

reply

Yeah, it's Nick. I hear the parents often fought with all of their kids and at one point they weren't on speaking terms.

reply

That was false accusation from person who wanted her 15 minutes of MeToo fame.

But Nick’s whole family IS crazy. Poor thing. Just watch House of Carters reality show. Long time ago they tried their luck in reality shows and shot few episodes. Where Nick, being the famous one - gathered them all in big home for few weeks. And all the time they all were fighting and were throwing tantrums. Aaron being the most crazy. There was always something wrong with him mentally. And it was getting worse when he grew older.

Nick tried to be "father of the family". But they didnt listen to him and looked like a complete trash. And this was the family Nick grew up with. Eventually he stopped trying and married and started his own family and is in good place now. I feel sorry that he has to deal with another death of sibling. But what can you do. His brother was crazy and abusive and didnt want to change and get help. It was his choice.

reply

I think I read where he got married awhile back. Does he have kids? I like some of Backstreet Boys tunes.

reply

In Nick's memoir he apologized for House of Carters for being such a terrible show. He said the SNL parody of the show was painful to watch, yet accurate.

reply

OMG. Is there an SNL parody? I didn't know.

And there are memoir of Nick?

Found that SNL parody.

OMG it's actually so accurate. Ok, every time we watch any reality show just remember that all of them are fake and participants try to create fake drama and scandals to be interesting. They are encouraged by producers to do so. And there is probably even script with their whacky problerms.

So this is what I was thinking when watching it. I saw it twice. And few times youtube clips. And every time I have a different opinion. Just watched few clips recently. It was obviously they tried to capitilize on reality shows success. So they convinced producers to give them a try and tried to be interesting. And it feels they tried to show Drama. I don't feel that this is like they all talked to themselves on ordinary life. At least not sisters. It was too staged. All those tanrtums. Maybe they just didnt expect it would look this horrible. When they were acting it maybe they thought it was more like Kardashian PG-7 fights.

But maybe Aaron was actually THAT DIFFICULT to deal with. And wasnt playing. Considering his behavior in his last few years of his life. He really was little shit who can't be dealt with and he would throw tantrums all the time and be in offensive at everyone for no reason. And it started at early teenage years.

It was very immature behavior. And he could be forgiven when he was cute little teen. But when he was adult anorexic man with meth face still behaving like 15-years old idiot teenager - it was a problem.

reply

Yep. It's sad and pathetic for a 34 year old man to act like a bratty 15 year old.

And what is up with all those tattoos? It makes him look trash.

One celebrity blogger says that many celebrities stop maturing and basically stay forever mentally at that age when they become famous. And I can see that so much at many celebrities.

George Clooney was 33 years when ER made him famous. And always acted as adult.

Nick Carter became famous at 15 as had that teen mentality even in his 30. Aaron Carter became famous as child and was acting like bratty child to the day he died.

DiCaprio started getting famous when he was around 20 and mentally stayed in that age even now when he is 50. Same with Brad Pitt.

Fassbeber, Hiddlstone, Cumberbatch were adult grown up men when they became famous. And always acted like that.

Britney Spears stayed mentally in the age she became famous.

So many examples when you start looking at it.

I wonder if you have seen Lance Bass' documentary on Lou Pearlman, who was N*Sync's and BSB's manager in the 90's. It appears that most, if not all, of the members of both bands hate Lou Pearlman. He was essentially running a huge Ponzi scheme and used both of the bands as cash flow.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcCRs0Ic3FI&t=53s

It also has Aaron defending Pearlman in the segment. Sad.

reply

Yeah, I saw that documentary. It was a good one.

What I like about NSYNC и The Backstreet Boys is that members get along very well. Not only that but they often hang out and sing together at events. When we all remember how press tried to pitch them against each other because they were concurrents. Same with press tried with Fifth Harmony and Little Mix. Because both were girl groups.

And often artists do start to hate each other with that forced rivalry.

Mariah - Whitney
Christina - Britney

Britney still hates Christina and always did. Even tho she always had bigger career and was bigger star. But that teen rivalry still sits inside Britney. But BSB and NSYNC never really hated each other.

reply

It's because women are often petty with each other and hold pointless grudges. They often recruit other women to go against their "target".

Men are not like that. We guys get along well with each other and more easygoing/relaxed. We resolve petty differences quite easily and quickly. No drama.

reply

Well ... there is some truth in that. On the other hand there are always Vin Diesel and Rock who had their hilarious Ego Petty Fight. And I think Stallone and Arnold were competitive and slightly hated each other.

And NSYNC and BSB WERE direct competitors. They took each other selling records, awards. I'm truly surprised they actually went along this well after their pop fame glory days were over. To the point when they hang out often.

I remember watching bits of House of Carters. One scene was when they first arrived at the house and Aaron decided to jump from a second or third story balcony into the pool. How mature was this kid? Lucky he didn't get injured.

reply

It's sad especially given the last few years as mental illness took its hold.

reply

Aarons problem was that that he was mentally ill and a-hole. And that give that crazy combination when he was having his breakdowns and was attacking everyone for no reason. This reminds me of Britney’s situation. Thats why some people need conservatorship.

reply

I dont feel sorry for celebrities that died from overdose. Because its obvious. Why else would young person die.

Those idiots have everything - fame, money, prettyness. The world is at their feet. And then they decide to throw it all away and die from overdose...

This guy had all to get help and live normal life. But he chose to die.

Dont forget that Aarons brother Nick and his sister had a restraining order against him because he was harassing them and threatened to hurt Nick newborn child. And his baby momma took away his own newborn child. I assume for same reasons - he was abusive. Yet people chose to ignore it. He was not a good person.

reply

And that's that.
