Literally embodies all the annoying and ineffective mannerisms of a theater actor, in the most godawful way, matched only by Ian McKellen. Again, how did he have a career? I have no idea.

He made a damn good Cornelius in Planet of the Apes, still my favorite version of that movie.

Enjoyed his performances in movies and on tv, but I know what you're saying OP.

I see how his mannerisms might be annoying maybe.But one of the worst actors ever??.To each their own i guess.I've always enjoyed his film and tv work myself.I thought he was great in Fright night 1 and 2,Legend of hell house and dead of winter to name a few.

The only film I think all his awful style worked to his advantage was Cleopatra.

Fright Night, Planet of the Apes, Poseidon Adventure, Overboard. These are just a few of his great performances. He was also an award winning photographer.

He was pretty good. Not the most versatile actor, but in the right role he was great.

He was terrific in everything I ever saw him in, and I've seen most of his movies and television appearances. He also had a very successful stage career.

Decent actor! Great in Planet of the Apes and its sequels, Cleopatra, Fright Night and Tales of the Gold Monkey.
