What's his best film?

I think it's "Ed Wood" (1994). It's the one time in his life when he used a true story and stuck to it accurately, but the story was so strange that "EW" ended up being one of his weirdest films. Superbly acted, darkly funny, and oddly involving.

Much better than any of his recent work.

Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, Big Fish, and Batman are all very good.

Ed Wood, Batman, Batman Returns, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and Sleepy Hollow.

Big Fish also but it is not among my favorite Tim Burton’s movies, although it is among his best.

I don’t like that much his recent movies.

Yeah, Ed Wood. It's magic.

"best film"? That implies he made at least 1 good one. He did not.

"Ed Wood" is genuinely terrific, and several other of his films have been great fun.

Nothing from the last 20 years, though.

"Ambitious but troubled movie director Edward D. Wood Jr. tries his best to fulfill his dreams, despite his lack of talent."

Hahahaha! The very same can be said about tim burton himself. For every movie made.
