Then they'd have to go back and charge actor Michael Masse with holding the gun that discharged the bullet into Brandon Lee. Any charges against Baldwin were nothing but grandstanding, and certainly did not raise to the level of a criminal felony. Hell if John Landis could be acquitted for running a shoddy set, illegally hiring underage kids to shoot under dangerous conditions resulting in the deaths and beheading of three people including Vic Morrow.... Baldwin's accident pales by comparison.
shareThose situations aren't comparable. It wasn't a freak accident, that's the difference. He wasn't supposed to even try to fire the weapon at the time. That's why he lied and said he didn't pull the trigger, which is an impossibility with that particular weapon. He did something he wasn't supposed to do, and someone died becauseof it. It definitely isn't murder, but it's still manslaughter.

It was Landis' set and Landis' film. He was I'm charge. He and he alone paid under the table to the parents of the two children. He ordered the pilot Darcy Wingo to fly lower ignoring all safety protocols.
As for Baldwin, the armourer didn't safety the gin before it went into his hand. Unlike Landis, he is not responsible.

Why do I have a feeling that District Attorney’s office was on board with this all along and they only pretended they will put him on trial? But in reality they did all they could to clear them out and let go....
The biggest criminals there are that armorer and that middle guy. She put bullets in it and it was his job to check on them. For some unknown reason they gave him a plea deal and sentenced him to ridiculous six months of probation. When he was guilty and the most responsible one. And there was all evidence. He didnt check the gun. And then they let go Baldwin.
And none of the producers is charged. Unbelievable celebrity justice.
