With Bill Murray, it's like people prefer to treat and package his awful on-set behavior as hilarious anecdotes instead of the acts of professional boorishness.
We're not talking about Sean Connery here, we're talking about Bill Murray. So don't divert the discussion just because you disagree with something unrelated that I previously said.
Also, why should it matter whether or not it was posted right after Sean Connery passed away? Like people weren't saying unsavory stuff about him when he was still alive!? Why are you in that regard, quick to "blame the messenger"?
How am I rushing to judgement and slinging dirt on Bill Murray? You do know that Bill Murray has been in the news lately for allegedly misbehaving, don't you?
"You do know that Bill Murray has been in the news lately for allegedly misbehaving, don't you?
Yes. I know he has been in the news lately for allegedly misbehaving.
"Bill quite frankly, brought it on to himself of of course, these stories are true.
How do you know they are true?
Bill Murray is a creative genius. Something you are not.
He works in a creative way. That sometimes causes minor conflicts with other actors. He has been known for this for decades. He is not mean-spirited and he is very, very funny. You are not funny.
You, quite frankly, brought this on yourself by trying to attack movie stars on this board with untrue or exaggerated comments. You did not succeed.
Sean Connery bare in mind, admitted on camera when talking to Barbara Walters in 1987, that he saw nothing wrong with slapping women whenever a man saw fit. So while he me may not be absolutely proven to be a wife better, that doesn't mean that he was squeaky clean.
Everyone has good and not-so-good moments in life. Said things that may have seemed with-the-times at one point, which now may seem politically incorrect. Maybe said things to be provocative.
There's just something sleezy about people digging that stuff up....finding a person's worst moments in life....and highlighting them, especially posthumously.
How many times have you met Bill Murray? I have to personally know someone before I go so far as to call them "a horrible human being." But that's just me. Maybe I'm old fashioned that way.
If Bill Murray wasn't remotely a "horrible human being" then he wouldn't have all of this stuff being said about him online right now, in the very first place now would he? People who defended people with accusations always go to the "well, you don't know him/her personally" means of resort.
I like a lot of Murray’s work but I’m inclined to believe that he’s often been an asshole on the set/stage. His whimsical acts of bonhomie could be genuine and heartfelt or cynical PR stunts; he may be the only knows for sure which but it probably doesn’t matter to the people involved whom he’s delighted.
Well, we might be able to say that... IF we knew what he (allegedly) did this ttime!
As it is, he has a reputation for being rude to fans and handsy with female co-workers, but that doesn't make him the worst person in Hollywood. Not by a long shot.
