Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, Marion Cotillard to star in Christopher McQuarrie’s WW2 action 'Broadsword'

Sounds good, except I'm sure it will show cotillard joining cruise on his mission, beating up Wehrmacht soldiers as the strong independent woman she is. Also, I wonder how they'll shoe horn in the tokens in a ww2 movie set in France? Will be tough but I'm sure they'll find a way.

They managed it in Overlord! 😂
Never saw that movie but having seen the trailers it just looked like hollywood leftists trying to rewrite history.
Cruise's last ww2 movie Valkyrie didn't have any tokens or strong females but he won't have that luxury this time around as it will be a fictional story.
After I saw Overlord I watched a YouTube review by a black girl. She enjoyed the film, but criticised it for showing white and black troops in the same unit, and white troops taking orders from a black sergeant. She pointed out that black and white troops in WWII were segregated, black troops had their own units, and white troops would never have taken orders from a black man. Her point was that portraying it like they did was like pretending it didn't happen, glossing over it, just for some PC BS.
shareIt wasn't even a case of being segregated since there were very few actual black combat units in ww2, they were all behind the lines doing stuff like driving supply trucks while 99.9% of the fighting (and dying) was being done by the young white men. That movie is a liberal's wet dream version of what they wanted ww2 to be like.
shareDont they say ww2 was the last war the US actually won?
shareLol, no one was trying to rewrite history. Overlord was just a silly ww2 zombie movie, not to be taken too seriously.
shareI hope it's R rated.
