I looked through his entire filmography and I can't find a single bad movie he's ever been in
shareThe Mummy 2017 is the closest thing he's been in that was a categorically awful movie. I personally loathe Rock Of Ages but he's the best thing about that movie. Knight And Day ain't great either.

Cruise doesn't have a Battlefield Earth to point at. What is his technically worst film? It's probably one of his early roles, Losin It was mentioned, but do we really hold early roles against any actor?
David Geffen was instrumental in securing Cruise's breakout role in Risky Business. Geffen has allegedly helped boost the careers of many young men. His (Cruise's) résumé prior to that contained decent films in which he was not the lead.
