Good move by Rebecca.

Finally.

I recall Mira Sorvino disrespecting him after she initially got her Oscar because of Allen’s Mighty Aphrodite when that’s her only claim to anything.

reply

Not her only one.

She also got naked in Norma Jean & Marilyn.

reply

I know. I was being facetious. Ashley was great in this btw. Sorvino was also in Replacement Killers. So those two movies after the, poof, Oscar movie.

reply

Judd was a great actress and smoking hot.

reply

Ashley was one of the most beautiful actresses to ever grace the screen. And an unbelievable and fearless actress. When I think of how many say Demi Moore was brave to do The Substance, I think Judd (and Michael Shannon) were brave to do Bug. And then sometimes I wonder if Judd had been able to make the movies I heard about where she was being considered and wonder if Weinstein did screw up her career and even her chance for an Oscar.

reply

I thought she deserved an Oscar nom for Bug.

reply

I'm sure Woody's sleeping a lot easier now.

reply

You are kidding but this is actually something meaningful because it shows the fact that the culture in America is changing,so "un-cancelation" may soon come for Woody Allen and other canceled artists like Joss Whedon etc. and thats a good thing.

reply

It is huge. Getting out of that lockstep mentality is a major breakthrough.

reply

Oh, I agree that if it is indicative of the start of a general shift that is good news.

reply

She should apologise to him personally. Until she does that, she's still treating him unfairly.

It's not enough to recant her previous articles of faith. What a bizarre religion wokeness is...

reply

What's a "Rebecca Hall?" 😅

reply

She’s an excellent British actress. She was in Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona and The Town and Red Riding Hood: 1983 - and so many more really good films.

reply

It's when your becca gets worn out and needs rebeccaing. You go to the rebecca hall and they can fix it for you.

reply

Well done! 😂 The point is, she is likely trying to course correct right now to make herself more relevant.

reply

He makes great films but he's a wackadoodle that rightly gains the ire of his public. Normalization of his sort of behaviors is not a benefit to any society.

reply

If all you saw was that HBO documentary and never read the court case files, and interviews with the other adopted children (especially Moses), not to mention the comprehensive investigation with Dylan’s teachers, psychologists, police and especially the statements of the Farrow staff and NY Times reporting and Dylan herself AT the time, then yes to what you say.

reply

Didn't see the HBO thing. Don't care what others have to say- I am equipped to recognize impropriety on sight.

reply

But you didn't see anything.

An exhaustive investigation involving police detectives, doctors, and psychologists concluded that the girl was not molested or abused in any way, was lying, and was probably coached to lie by Farrow. Allen was never even charged with anything. Your claim that you don't care about these facts renders your opinion worthless.

reply

I never made those claims though. I'm judging by the fact that he married the girl he helped to raise. Also that list- detectives, doctors and psychiatrists- it's the top of the list of the most untrustworthy professions of all time. I'm not making any claims as to the positions they took at all just pointing that out.

reply

She has a new show coming out and has to say something controversial for attention.

reply

Bingo! Like when she hopped on the "Me Too" bandwagon at Woody Allen's expense, she now wants to get off of it for her own benefit.

No one liked working with this foreign born A- list actress from at least one franchise. She always thinks she is better than anyone else. Now, that she has come out in support of the child mole*ter/pseudo incest lover, she will have even less support.
