MM was not an actress. She was, and is, a Movie Star.

I've never understood her appeal. I'm GenX, so I wasn't alive when she was in her hayday. I've seen a few of her films (or rather, "films that she was in") and she was funny enough. But not funny like Mae West.

MM seemed like a nice enough person, and not just by Hollywood standards.

She was/is great to look at, and she can be entertaining in comedy. I've never rated her highly as an actress.
