bruce lee - the drug addict

I gotto say, this is a nuclear bombshell. It changes the whole perception of Bruce Lee and puts everyone's testimony in question. Linda Lee was complicit in making the deals to procure more drugs for Bruce. The real cause of Bruce's death is once again in question, since the brain swelling he's had can often be caused by the use of cocaine/cocaine overdose. Judging by the last few letters, Bob Baker nearly stopped interacting with Bruce Lee/Linda - I keep wondering if Bruce's suggestion for Bob to 'take care of his family and children' was a thinly veiled threat due to lack of new product coming in. The Legend is falling apart at its core and the reality appears to be worse than what Tarantino had depicted.

"The Idol" by Procol Harum:

Oh the idol, Oh the idol

They knew the monster's every trick
They knew his secrets every stitch
All of it had been a game
Nothing but a charlatan
Perhaps there was a chance of coming through
It even seemed that he might think it too
But he could see no point in diving in
He knew that he would neither sink nor swim

And so they found he'd nothing left to say
Just another idol turned to clay

It seemed to them he must know what to do
They knew that only he could pull them through
They thought that he would make a plan
He'd work it out, he'd understand
Like drowning men they clutched at every straw
They knew that he had saved them all before
But he could see no point in diving in
He knew that he would neither sink nor swim.

Sad fucking times we're living in. Every damn illusion we've ever had is being shattered one by one.

It's the 70s. He did drugs. What illusion is being shattered here? Don't mean he was an addict.

Assuming they aren't debunked as fakes at some point, the letters pretty clearly paint the picture of a fast escalating addiction during the time he was making Enter the Dragon...

a) the weight loss in 1973
b) the fact that his wife was fully aware of his habit and was even asking for a gram measurer from Baker
c) the fact that he was using he's butler (unknowingly?) as a courier
d) the fact that he usually clean and precise handwriting in the letters suddenly because sloppy and erratic.
e) the ever-increasing frequency of the letters and the large amounts of coke and other substances he was requesting. If he wasn't using large quantities the only other explanation for it would be he was dealing.
f) the very obvious possibility that cocaine use could have been a major cause of his death.

... on the other hand, even if true, he managed to function pretty well despite these problems.

The butler had to have known. He received a big settlement* from Linda after Bruce died.

As for Bruce's cause of death, there was a Hong Kong newspaper that reported packets of white powder being found on Bruce's person when he was admitted to the hospital.

* A disclosed sum for a suspiciously unspecified reason.

Also, he couldn’t win a real fight. Studio Gangsta.

This absolutely now shows Linda Lee in a very bad light

She obviously committed perjury back in the day to make sure she got the life assurance!

Was a drug smuggler

I bet she was absolutely horrified when this leaked out

I think this now tarnishes her reputation in the bruce lee world
