Have you ever seen a dead body ?

Up close, I mean.

I have. Once. My grandfather who passed away many years ago. He was at our home, and was bed ridden and nurses looked after him. They all called us in, as he was in his final moments, and once he passed, you could see there was just no life. His face had a yellowish tinge to it. And the funeral home took him away.

Was quite freaky to someone who had life, and suddenly lifeless.

A fair number of times but only at funerals thank goodness. It’s true, the sight of a body is a weird feeling.

reply

Yes, I watched someone very close to me die.

If funerals count then at least four I can name right off the bat. The ones I remember are all male. One dead male not at a funeral and one dead female not at a funeral. I saw all of them after they died and was present when one died.

BTW they were all older people who died a natural death. I haven't seen any gory accidents or anything like that.

Yes much the same as you but my father, not a grandparent. Nothing I ever want to relive again.

So sorry.

Thank you.

Not counting funerals. Yes, twice. The first one was this man who rammed his car into my friend's house. I don't write this to be funny, but he was laying belly up and had a boner

I once came upon a scene where a guy had committed suicide by ramming his pick up truck into a train at top speed while it was going through a crossing. The impact had ripped his head off. That was really creepy looking.

How about seeing a person after they died and left their body? It's not uncommon for them to attempt to communicate with loved ones to let them know they're alright.

At my great uncle's funeral there was an open casket. I was 10 years old and when I saw my great uncle lying there dead I lost it. I burst into tears because it really upset me. Thankfully I've never seen a dead body since.
