TruthBomb#1 pets love you because you constantly fondle them

Let's face it: you would love anybody that walked up to you and constantly rubbed their hands all over you all the time.... stroking your hair, rubbing your belly near your provates, patting you butt making you thrash your legs at high speeds....

Most couples touch each other intimately a lot, and it is healthy.
You are "PETTING" your animals like a healthy couple.

Stop doing it and see what happens.
Same with your relationship. No touchy, no relations.

They're animals. For dogs, their distant cousins, wolves, interact among the pack by rubbing against each other, or physically touching while playing with each other as a way of communication and showing affection. For cats it's similar, though their distant wild cousins are often less social. You'll find similar setups for animals like guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, etc. The petting is basically a simulation of how the animals would show affection to those they trust out in the wild.

Just my opinion but I’ve always thought domesticated animals enjoyed the comforts of human companions since prehistoric times: a windproof and dry shelter, a warming fire, game fat and spare bones to gnaw on, a bit of snuggling, even a useful and meaningful purpose to serve earning further rewards.

Sheep, horses, cats and dogs all greatly benefit from the animal/human partnership. We treat them with kindness and great care and they serve us very well.

We’d not be here without them.
