Do you find accents of people not from your region attractive?

I'm from the Midwest U.S.

From the rest of the U.S.: Southern accents are alright, and while I found some Southern women attractive, it was not because of the accent.

Outside the U.S.: Mostly the same thing with British, Australian, etc. accents. Although I did hear a British woman with a sexy voice (I think her accent was Received Pronunciation) online, though. I've also heard sexy Australian voices.

Australian accents are sexy.

G'day.

Attractive is not the word I'd use, but I hate my accent. All others sound amazing lol.

What is your accent?

reply

West midlands 🥲, England.

Used to work with a Brummie. Great guy, and loved his accent, fwiw.

reply

I like that accent a lot.

New Yorkers often sound defensive and angry.
The Yonkers and Bronx accent is FAR worse, yours sounds non-confrontational and very pleasant. Americans seem to love the variety of English accents👍

🥰

reply

I don't necessarily find them attractive, but I do find them quite interesting.

I find Indian, Arab and East Asian accents annoying and not sexy at all.

European accents are my favourite.

reply

Haha.

As a linguaphile, I just dig accents. I might have some favorites, but don't think her accent would be among the criteria that have any impact on a woman's attractiveness to me. That said, I have dated a preponderance of Latinas, purely coincidentally...

I love Mexican accents. They have a sort of lazy slurr.

reply

It depends on which accent or dialect. I dislike Boston, but like Southern. I dislike German, but like British, French, Italian and Irish.

English is my 2nd language and even though I'm fluent, I'm having a hard time understanding accents the further away they are from plain English.
I little bit of an accent is fine, but I don't find any particularly attractive.
There are even movies in English I cannot watch without subtitles, because I understand less than half of it.
