Yup, Joy Division is a great band besides being an artsy favorite. Love "Atmosphere".

"A Means to an End" is lesser known gem which doesn't get much play.

It's actually called "I ALone". Thought it was just "Alone"

Ok as far as LIve - 90s band, they had a few years there - but not big though. They kind of came and went.

Don't feel bad JT. After I posted my five I realized that the OP asked for "favorite" songs that started with A. I just listed five songs that started with A, too. 😂 Although Angry Eyes and As probably do count as favorites.

Did you do it like I did it? Meaning - I heard songs in my head, then think, yeah that one is ok - and include it in the answer. One didn't do a thorough analysis, LOL.

I don't know "Angry Eyes" - Gonna take a listen since I'm cooling off ....

Nice. Was getting a bit of an Allman Brothers vibe. Nice, good track.

Whenever I Call You Friend is one of my all-time favorite songs. I'd put it in my top 25. In fact, the other day when there was a thread asking if we could only choose three groups or artists to listen to for the rest of our lives, I seriously considered putting Kenny Loggins as one of them. I love most of what he has done, both solo or with others.
